It might sound douchey, but i dont have this game so i just play along :L Not experiencing the actual game, but im getting alittle experience of it , i'm gonna TRY get it if i can find it, Call me a retard if you want. but its still pretty funn
@omegadragon1000 I got pretty good at playing the correct strings for each fret. I still didn't understand chords until i played rocksmith for a while. but i was able to learn some songs from my favorite video games, and learn some other tricks. People who think "you have to practice the old fashioned way" is irrelevant these days, since anyone can get good at something faster now that more people can show you how it's done.
@omegadragon1000 I've seen tabs for mario, zelda, and many other games. If you can't find you, you have to make one yourself. They are good practice for finger placement though, and reading tablatures.
It's incredibly hard to learn a full song without a teacher or accurate tabs because most tabs end up sucking, or at least in my experience. Half the time i find myself trying to learn the songs myself.
I have been playing for a year, never learned a full song, bought this game, took me 3 or 4 tries to learn this all the way through. Currently working on surf hell by little barrie, I have the riff done on that.
@gofuckloser can you point that out in the book of standards? if ap is for chords, and a powerchord is a chord then ap is for chords. do it how you like, sounds the same, ap is more efficient. if the pc's were twice as fast, would you still advocate no ap? wasted effort, jerking your hand 2x as fast as you need to
@Voted2Cool Power chord's are usually played with down strokes. They invented alternate picking for fast riffs that are mainly one string/string skipping. This isn't even that fast down picking.
@randman990 The song is not played using up and down strumming. It is all down strokes. Watch QOTSA play the song live. Is is not about just getting the right notes. Playing covers you should play it as its played.
@MrAcefspds "Playing covers you should play it as its played" No, you shouldn't. Playing a cover is playing YOUR rendition of THEIR song. Don't make an idiot of yourself.
@sakowihe75 from the looks of it, the guitar player is using a Herco Flat Thumbpick. This pick is the closest thing to the Chris Broderick 'sharpie pick.' I use the Herco Flat Thumbpick when playing and I recommend it to anyone.
how come they don´t chart those "long strums" during the verses like they did in rock band for example? just playing those damn chords over and over must be so frustrating
@toymasheenSH No, I just think this game looks like complete bullshit if it doesn't even let you play your real guitar like a real guitar but you have to mute the ring in it and they don't even chart the whole chart.
@TheDeadPlayers You don't have to mute strings that's just an issue elison is having. Watch that 1983electric video he has a FC of Plug in Baby. It's not the whole chart because there are separate arrangements. There are after all THREE guitarists in Queen's Of The Stone Age...
@toymasheenSH Sure, but fun over realism. Seeing how it is the same chords being repeated over and over it would have been just as informative but alot more fun to chart everything into one chart.
@TheDeadPlayers Seeing as Rocksmith is essentially being marketed as a "teach yourself guitar" tool, it's understandable that they would go for realism over fun.
@TheDeadPlayers "Fun over realism" is the philosophy for Rock Band and Guitar Hero, not Rocksmith. Rocksmith is a guitar teacher first and a game second. <_<
Great video! I love the masking effect. Nice edits! I just tried this song tonight. I 100k'd on 3rd try (total newbie here) but not mastered it yet.

Lmao, you only needed 9,300 to qualify. I think you surpassed that.

@mrakun alternate picking is meant for chords and single notes but not powerchords
