I prefer doing the bass drum version better...for those of you who don't know what I mean is we go up and down the first section, left and right the second, and hopping up the final section. It's fun doing the sway at the end too and the final stomp =D
the wabash cannonball is the k-state song because it was the only song that survived the Nichols Hall fire in the 1930's. The band had no other songs to play at the men's basketball game back then and the song stuck for good, that's why its at K-State
Actually the Nichols fire was in the late 1960s. If it had burned in the 1930s K-State's basketball teams would have not had anywhere to play their home games because it was the gym back in that time.
