We do the same thing but not 1000 people by 1985. You'd need about 300 apartment blocks, which cost money. Money which you'd have to make from at least 100 farms. It's not possible without god mode. Not to mention the amount of ranches you'd have to construct to feed that many people. Economic disparity would be a living nightmare due to the amount of wage being paid. Even if you generated an Island covered in gold and oil, it still wouldn't be enough. Noob.

So, let me get this straight, happiness at 48, random power plants and other ugly buildings in city center, and most of the island is underdeveloped jungle. That's the best city?Fail. It's not even good infrastructure. Not a enough garages properly placed, not enough streets that go across, shorting drive times and easing traffic, and I'm sure you don't have enough construction offices and teamster buildings spread around the island. So stop saying your Cities are the best, they blow.

Wow, this in 100 years? This is the ugliest island I've ever seen, look at that happiness 48%! You should invest in the housing quality of your people and make sure that you're loved, in 2050 I usually have over 800 inhabitants. Replace that tenements with apartment blocks and you will increase the happiness to 50%.
