Actually cantonese is a very difficult language for foreigners to learn because the language has too many tones, but you pronounced it very well. I think you chose the correct way to learn Cantonese because this language is not like learning english and mandarin, which you can't learn from pinyin or ABC. You have to learn from talking. Once you learned cantonese, you will feel easier to learn Mandarin as well. Singing is a good way to learn!! I support you!! 加油!!
