@TheLarioz Originally there were a small team of students from Sweden which started remixing songs in a certain way. They called themselves Nightcore, they released 2 albums: Caliente and Sensacion. Now it has spread to youtube and it is very hard to find the original songs mixed in with the new. Hence Nightcore was originally Swedish, but everybody seems to think techno and sped up music = japan or anime so they put these pics up even though they are completely unrelated.

@TheLarioz Also fans took the name Nightcore from the group and now use it to catergorise a sub genre of techno. There are two type of Nightcorists. the lazy or untalented ones: they just take a song, run it through an editor program and just spped it up and change pitch, those ones suck. or you have the professional ones: they take a techno or non techno song and speed it up add in new parts and overall remix it into something different. Anymore questions?

that's a pretty hard question to answer o: some people just take nightcore as a speed up version of another song with high pitch which... sounds totally odd... considering all the nightcore songs i've heard are more close to a remix not just a speed up :s

He says it's a plain speed-up, but I have heard that there is remixing, among those more beat and addition of voice on some songs. it WAS a band, and songs done in nightcore is trying to make ordinary songs like they would have made it.
