Very good and informative video... But, you failed to mention Crown Glass as a lens option. Crown Glass is optically superior to any plastic or polymer. The down side is that glass is heavier and can break. Also, they are harder for an optical to cut and fit to frames compared to plastic and polymer lenses. But, the optical clarity of crown glass can't be beat.

Basically, all Plastics are VERY prone to Scratches without any Scratch Resistant Coating (SRC)

Pretty much all plastics lenses on the market are already pre-coated with SRC of some sort.

Not to mention, Antireflective coatings (AR) are pretty much built in Scratch coating
