Just found this video -- I was there next to you filming it (yellow hat white shirt at :09), Remember the day and the climb very well. The steepness was insane and the tour was epic! Thanks for posting this -- great memories!

Small world! Yes, it was a great day. The pro's made this climb look easy. Even the guys who "can't climb," like the sprinters, took it mostly seated. I rode it with some pretty accomplished club racers and we were weaving back and forth, and even having to put a foot down. Impressive.

Quite right. We climbed that bitch 3 days earlier as part of L'Etape du Tour. Let's just say we took it a bit slower than the racers.
