I miss Tybee Island. I live in San Francisco now but I have fond memories of going there as a kid in the 60's and 70's. I mostly remember the malted milk shakes at The Sugar Shack.
We went to Tybee a few years back....the first time that Patty or the kids had ever been to the beach. Total blast! That's where I earned my "lobster man" badge...twice! I can't wait to go back. Well...I'm sort of torn...Holden Beach, NC, just north of N Myrtle beach, south of Cape Fear, is an awesome place! No hotels, strictly rentals. The shells you can find are amazing. Patrick Swayze had a mansion on the south end of the Island, along with Sylvester Stallone, nextdoor neighbors.
