Um, can someone please explain to me what a Persimmon tastes like? I live in the U.S. and this is the first time I've ever heard of or seen a Persimmon.

@MonkeysEatPie1 To me the sweet persimmon tastes like if cinnamon were to turn into a fruit. You can find them in Asian supermarkets at certain times of year.

You can eat conical ones crisp if they have been treated.

my cookbook says persimmons are in season october through february. but then, I live in the u.s., so probably it's different?
