I think it's pretty annoying and disrespectful to scream or yell while someone is singing the national anthem, no matter who is singing it. If they are singing it well, you cheer afterwards, not while they are singing. Just my two cents.

That is ridiculous to say that anyone voted30,000 times. The lines were so busy that night for all 4 hours that it was hard enough to get any votes in. David Archuleta is very talented, but so is Cook. People across the country placed bets in favor of Cook. I don't think that people enjoy losing money. It's very egotistical to think if your choice doesn't win then there is something wrong with everybody else. Nothing is rigged and America spoke.

What David does with banner yet wave is unmatched. No one can touch him, especially David Cook. Again, our David out sung David Cook and he out sung him every single week on American Idol. The only explanation is that American Idol is rigged in a big way. When 500+ people vote 20-30,000 times each, that equals 12 million. American Idol owes David Archuleta an apology. I still can't believe they allowed people to vote that way.

Do you know how many people in the US, nevermind the world, can sing like Archuleta? AI is as much about personality as it is singing. I found his performances on AI to be relatively boring - fantastic voice - but nothing to get you fired up (except Imagine). He's an incredible singer for a 17-yr old, but he lacks personality in public. I'm sure he'll get better with age though.

With that said, Archuleta definitely sang the anthem much better than Cook, but Cook is the better performer.

Cook's rendition of the anthem isn't even comparable to Archuleta's. The younger David outperformed him AGAIN! More proof positive that America got it wrong this season.

I, too, noticed how negative comments around Cook are mysteriously disappearing off the web. It's got to be embarrassing with the winner is being upstaged by the runner up.

Cook's was not nearly as good as Archie's, but I don't think it was necessarily terrible. It was good during certain parts. I agree that they should've ended the whole "having the American Idol sing the Anthem at the NBA Playoffs " thing with Cook. It did not go well in his favor at all. I think that by the lack of reaction from the audience and by the blank look on his face, Cook knew it too.
