That was really powerful imagery...war and destruction, laughing big wigs, twinkies, football - an perfect illustration of this absurdity we're living in. The ending was perfect. Hope and life remains regardless of their attempts to destroy it.

Excess, violence, death, greed, over stimulation, momentum, the paradox of progress, suffering, destruction, indifference... An endless cycle... Until the day when we can literally connect and share uncensored thoughts from one person to another, these things will continue to repeat themselves. Even then, will we acknowledge them and learn? Or will we numb ourselves to this reality of self-destruction and self-indulgence? That day is a long time coming.
WE are the problem. WE are the weapons manufacturer for the world. We produce nothing else for the rest of the world. Hence, we sell weapons to Iraq now. Wonderful! A new customer that will need to kill and mame to stay in power.
Shame on us....all of us. President Eisenhower warned us of the military complex in this country. We just watch our stocks go up and down...and nobody gives a shit. We deserve the rath we are earning from the rest of the world. Once, a great nation.
