I believe it was meant to be for Charice to lose. The LBS experience gave her more strength and enable her to put more emotion in the songs that she's singing. Besides, if she'd won ... then she will be under contract for ABS-CBN whom we know favours the 'average talent' with 'good looks', instead of 'exceptional talent' with an 'average look'.
