  • anyone else called that number?

  • 'I wasn't born to be the son'

  • it is a shame prop joe taught marlo so much about the game. Marlo ends up killing him out of Greed!

  • @kilahchris The game is the game

  • Levy's face when Marlo whips out the cell phone...KA-CHING

  • @morgantown1 Oh ya, and he definitely told Herc about Marlo's cell on purpose. He dug a hole for Marlo to fall into, just so that he can get him out. Meanwhile he's getting a nice handsome pay day in the process.

  • "Anything else?" "Nah! Take me off your clock"

  • this is why i love the wire cause it shows everybody got their hands on the money to me levy and clay davis worst than any drug dealer or gangster on the show and if you don't agree shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiid

  • @dagumpbest not sure about Davis, but what I like about Levy is that he doesn't have any misgivings about what he does, even if he doesn't like Omar calling him on it.

  • @janvandebong don't you remember clay davis was taking money from drug dealers and he was even tricking sting out of his money then they took him to court and my i qoute "clay davis didn't just play the race card but the whole deck"

  • @dagumpbest yeah, I remember, but he still hams it up for the camera & plays nice. I like that Levy isn't even gonna pretend to make friends. The street uses him, the system can't stand him, but he doesn't give a shit 'cause he's safe & paid up. He revels in his infamy & extracts maximum payoff for the trade. That's why I like him. I understand Clay Davis, but I don't like him as much. Davis has 2 faces, Levy really only has 1.

  • @janvandebong yeah i agree with you about that levy was the same with everyone

  • "I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase."

  • Joe was a very smart character. Tried to forge a strange relationship with Marlo, keep him close and in some ways endear Marlo to him. The theme of the show was always about the perpetual nature of crime and those that fight and enable it. More crooks, more cops and more politicians. Truly a remarkable show.

  • Joe basically tried to befriend the school bully and got bit in the ass

  • Marlo was a psychopath who enjoys the destruction more than building up, the fact he became a Kingpin was more accidental then a business plan.

Prop Joe thought he could tame Marlo and be to him like Butchie was to Omar, unfortunately for him Marlo is not interested in building alliances.

  • thats funny cus levy ends up giving the phone number away n marlo kills joe eventually

  • Levy loved that shit. Loved the challenge of having to clean up all that dirt; like he wouldn't feel accomplished or challenged unless he was working with criminals.

    He utterly terrified me.

  • funny how when marlo puls out his phone levy just thinks to him self "you dick!"

  • Levy was a great character!!! I love how he smiled like he just won a prize by getting Marlo

  • "Take me off the clock." Best line.

  • anyone ever try calling the number Marlo gave levy?

  • @Fittsburgh... and who do you think is going to pick up the phone? Marlo Stanfield?

  • Did Levy purposely tell Herc about Marlo's number knowing he'd pass it along to his former cop buddies? I remember in the very last episode, Levy seemed to be thanking Herc for doing this without say outright that he knew all along what he did.

  • @gpope23 Herc was still pissed at Marlo for the camera, so he wanted to get back at him. He took Marlo's # Levy had wrote down, and passed the info. Cops had illegal wire taps on Marlo. Levy had his OWN problems buying court documents from his connect in the courthouse. Levy's connect got caught selling documents and ratted EVERYONE he sold them to. Levy found out he had leverage because of the illegal wire tap & the elections so he made a deal. If not for Herc, Levy would have been DONE.

  • @gpope23 He thanked Herc because Herc figured out it was a illegal wiretap. Herc unintentionally saved Levy from going to prison. Herc was just trying to get back at Marlo for the camera which lead to him getting fired. Levy had leverage because of the info, plus with Carcetti's elections the powers that be didn't want this mess getting out and ruin his chances of becoming governor. They kept the case books open so if Marlo was back in the game, Levy was going down with him.

  • @gpope23 No Herc snooped into Levy's office and took the number and gave it to Carver. Carver then passed it on to Freamon who set it all off.

Levy had no idea that Herc worked on the original wiretaps against the Barksdales. If Herc kept his mouth shut in season 5 and never told Levy that Freamon was using the wiretap, Marlo would have been in jail. The only leverage Levy has was after Herc told him about the illegal wiretap.

Before that, Levy though one of Marlo's men snitched. Damn Herc.

  • Did Levy purposely tell Herc about Marlo's number knowing he'd pass it along to his former cop buddies? I remember in the very last episode, Levy seemed to be thanking Herc for doing this without say outright that he knew all along what he did.

  • I always wished they would have shown more Levy scenes.... such a fascinating character I always wanted to know more about.

  • You ever find that camera? Marlo rules.

  • The moment Levy wrote that number down, Marlo's empire was slowly coming to an end.

  • Marlo was a heartless muthafucka

  • @lildwayne21: Levy was a heartless muthafucka too, if you think about it. You gotta love him!

  • "Joe gave him to us just in time"

    Love it!

  • herc's "WTF" expression as marlo enters...priceless

  • prop joe got octomom belly beat by a long shot

  • So Herc works with Levy now? How did he get fired?

  • @TBIGMIL

Herc took a camera without signing off for it, just to try to catch Marlo, and he hid it near Marlo's hangout. But Marlo found it, and took it and hid it somewhere else.

The police dept. got really pissed at Herc and told him he had to find that camera or else he was gonna be fired. He never found it.

That's why marlo fucks with him about it when he first walks in.

But you posted this a year ago so now maybe you found out about it or dont care anymore..

  • the real hustler in terms of lawyers of the show was actually the black lawyer who got that fuckin scumbag clay davis off. davis was sucking drug money out of anyone who would listen to his bulshit. And who got his pussy ass off?

  • Yo, you ever find that camera?

    It cost me the job.

    Eh,Eh,Eh,Eh,

  • the best mixture there is .with that combination we are unbeatable.

    rahm emmanuel is that dude.

  • levy was the biggest hustler of all of them.like most jews are .

  • That's stereotypical... I have met a few lazy Jews in my life. Stereotypes, either positive or negative, are unnecessary. And harmful.

  • @hisholyhoviness

You are aware that the creator of the show is jewish?

  • How ironic is it that Prop Joe, who always found ways 2 maintain an upperhand on his rivals, makes the introduction 4 Marlo (2 Levy) that ultimately saves him from life in prison (in Season 5)?

  • marlo was determine to take over u gotta respect his grind!!!!!!!!!

  • levy is the real gangster here,

in season 1 he even gave D'angelo a smack on the head

    lol

  • @pingbong44 nah mane i see what you´re saying but he´s a lawyer get shit in prespective....a cold muthafucka nontheless but it it what it is, i love when he´s trying to dirty omar in court and omar just flipped the script on him. that shit was too easy... same shit diffrent job. takin money from drug dealers. omar got a gun levy got a breifcase . real shit =)

  • i know marlo had to trust his lawyer here but i still dont agree with giving anybody his main number ...he still should have had another phone .. and gave him that one

  • That Co-Op wasn't shit. I wouldn't want to work with them.

  • Marlo knows Herc ran an investigation on him AND had a beef over losing his job due to the stolen camera... AND MARLO DIDN'T TAKE HIM OUT???!!! Doesn't add up.

  • yea but Herc wasnt a real threat to Marlo anyway.....kinda surprising that Marlo didnt kill him but really he didnt have a reason to...Herc lost his job over the shit anyway

  • he dont no more heat then he already got hes trying to clean his money put out the fire then kill who he needs to down the line smart if you ask me

  • exactly....Joe ended up being the nigga he needed to kill down the line and he did it

  • Why would Marlo want to kill Herc anyway? He thought the whole thing was funny.

  • Levy is evil

  • Who is that at the beginning talkin about Floyd Mayweather? Sound like Fat face Rick

  • Levy is like the Lawyer from Hell, he'd defend the Devil if he paid well enough, lol.

  • Marlo laughed on him lol....u ever find that camera lol

  • I know right lmao that was funny lmao!!

  • that was hilarious

    lol

  • @bforbes10 That was more of a personal victory for Marlo. Little did he know that Herc had his number, literally & metaphorically.

  • Damn Yall jus killin Joe name.Dat nigga was the realest regardless. Str8 biz

  • lmao. prop joe lost his damn mind. he might as well hang a "kill me" sign around his neck.

  • i think joe feel guilty for what he does to marlo with omar shit !!!i think this why he helped so much marlo!!

  • I agree witchu on that one mayne. But he still was gon get GOT regardless.Since the Co-Op took a loss and Marlo was the one knew who was held responsible for it..DUEcEZ!!

  • Joe was a fat old fool. He helped Marlo too much.

  • I agree. Joe was afraid of Marlo and was looking to befriend Marlo to save his own neck. He knew that Marlo wanted to wear the Crown. But the Co-op should of gathered all of their muscle and spanked Marlo real bad, especially after Joe and Hungry's murders.

  • @shahid0566

the co-op never had heart like that.....that's why they created the co-op in the first place, to avoid violence and just make money......Avon was the only guy who stood a chance against him, and even he got spanked

  • @1L4MK Avon didn't necessarily get "spanked" by Marlo though did he! The Barksdale crew were pretty much ready to mop the floor with Marlo's boys at the end of Season 3. If it wasn't for Avon getting arrested then Marlo and his boys were on the verge of getting taken out. The kit they assembled was enough to start a small war, they even had grenades.

  • @shahid0566 joe wasnt realy afraid of marlo just had alot of respect for him at the time when slim told him at the meeting to watch out for him joe could of easly had him killed but he saw that he was a hard up hustler and joe wanted to link up with him not kill him
