  • Very good and informative vid.....I really liked Chemical Wedding too...,(Bruce Dickinson did produce it) Simon Callow was awesome!...I couldn't imagine anyone doing Crowley better...a bold and well researched performance. I have not read much about Crowley's female pseudonym, but you put me onto something, thanks!

  • EXCERPT: Author and Crowley expert Lon Milo Duquette wrote in his 1993 work The Magick of Aleister Crowley:

Like all of us, Crowley had many flaws and shortcomings. The greatest of those, in my opinion, was his inability to understand that everyone else in the world was not as educated and clever as he. It is clear, even in his earliest works, he often took fiendish delight in terrifying those who were either too lazy, too bigoted, or too slow-witted to understand him

  • The radio 4 episode on Rachmaninov was excellent. Although, I am sure the expert said that it is difficult to say if he had Marfan's or some pituitary disorder because the diagnosis is posthumous.

  • why does he call himself the beast...666...hmmm? he wrote on the wall with fecial matter...had sex with god knows who..or what...um tried to talk to demons...no matter what you say that is true...dumbass..he not a devil worshiper...lol...r u fucking blind or just choose not to read the evil shit...brainwashed to the fullest of fullest...

    Post 1 of 2:

I think it is YOU who has been brain washed!

Crowley certainly wasn't a very nice man - he did some horrid things, he was sexist; racist, and a drug addict, but he was NO devil worshipper...He sensationalised his own work so that only the people who were capable of understanding his work followed him - the others...it seems like yourself...who got caught up in the hype, would never understand what he aimed to achieve.

Like I said, not a nice man, but he was a man who wanted to experience as much as he could and EXAMINE these experiences - more like science than magic.

Read up - learn something - stop perpetuating the myth

  • @TheDonTheSon Crowley certainly wasn't a devil worshipper. Please, cite examples.

  • @MrTarwater uh...he called himself the beast 666 as ive said already...llol...and he has sex with women and guys in the desert to try to contact demonic spirits...are you that stupid...? do some research...i mean...im telling you basic shit...stuff anybody that knows this guy woiuld know....i think your blind and brainwashed fools...but you will probley read this like the other retards and ignore it and ask again...tell me how hes a devil worshipper?...like i didnt already say it before you aske

  • @TheDonTheSon

Satanism began in 1966 with the founding of the Church of Satan...so thats 22 years after Crowley's death. He was an occultist / ceremonial magickian, not a satanist. He called himself the Beast 666 for effect only; to get rid of those who would not understand his experiments.

  • @TheDonTheSon

Even if he was a devil worshipper - what is your issue with that?

  • @daisyifraisy wow...no wonder people ask me these questions...all you people that agree with this guy are fucking morons...UH i dont know what my issue is...maybe trying to stop the spreading of evil doctrines...lol...no more questions..

  • @TheDonTheSon Even if Crowley was the most evil man alive (if you believe the press - and who does) reading about him isn't going to make you evil as well - that just isn't how it works.

  • @TheDonTheSon press? more like documentry...read all you want...the more you read the more you will realize that guy was narcistic, evil, and wierd...

  • "The One With:" ... Friends Much?!

  • WEIRD WEEKLY QUESTION...How many "takes" do you think it took for Paul to make this episode?

  • @daisyifraisy That's a good question. I vote for this one.

  • Hey Paul...(E.T. fingers) ...here's another book to interrupt your reading schedule...The Dresden Files; a series of books about a sorcerer - written in the first person, which is refreshing:-)
