  • I guess it also depends if you have thick hands lol.

  • I took my Sai to my company's shop and they put them on a vice and made mine wider to a more custom fit

  • Just a heads up...Some yoku aren't as close to the monouchi which enables the first twirls you show, other sai don't have that expanse from 'prong' to 'center prong', not all sai are crafted equally...

  • @ARCDBEACH, well then make sure to get the right type of sai if you want to try this. :) Personally it has worked with any sai I have tried, but I'm sure there are some types that would make it difficult.

  • so many bruises on my inside of my elbow from these suckers smacking them, yours are much shorter i was told the middle prong when held in a defensive grip should go past your elbow.....no good for spinning on my hands lmao

  • @mkjredemption, Yup mine are shorter than what is traditional, because they are lighter and easier to maneuver for this type of stuff. I have heavier longer ones for traditional sai training, but I use these ones for the XMA stuff. LOL bruises kind of come with the territory, you get used to it.

  • wow, ur awsum!!!

  • thanks so much! :)

  • i really appreciate this video! very nice! could you tell me where you bought your sais?

  • Sure. I buy most of my martial arts weapons and supplies from Sakura Martial Arts (google it, YouTube doesn't allow external links). My sais are on the short side because I can maneuver them better, but the standard way to select sai length is about the length of your forearm.
