  • The closest I can suggest are the plans for a St Pierre dory in Gardner's The Dory Book. St. Pierre's have more sheer than a Seine but otherwise are dimensionally the same (length, beam, etc). Basically, don't put in as much rocker and you won't have as much sheer.

  • Hey thanks for the reply, I actually have the plans for the Bastard Dory, but would like to build the Fishmaker, and I'm not skilled enough to "stretch " the plans

  • Where can I get plans for this boat?

  • @TheTony1058

Over the years we have acquired a great collection of moulds and because of that do not use or have any plans available. However there are a few sources. The Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic has plans for a 14' bottom, 18' 2" loa Bastard dory (fma@gov.ns.ca). The Dory Book by John Gardner is also a great reference.

We too offer dory building courses here a couple of times a year. The next one is Sept 26-Oct 7. E-mail us at info@doryshop.com for more information.

    Best,

    Bronwen
