This song and scene reminds me of my friend who died of leukemia. I was in my home country Korea at the time and I movedd to Australia while he still had it and when I came back 2 years later, he died on all of us. I felt sorry on top of other stuff like grief and sorrow but shit, I wish I could've fought some of his fears for him a bit more before he left...And it was really the most heartbreaking thing I ever saw when I went to his grave. must admit that was the last time I cried too.

I can't say that I have any personal event in my life that relates to this scene. I still like it a lot though. To me it's like this extremely rare opportunity comes around when you meet someone that's so special that you can hardly believe that it's true. I remember first seeing this in the cinemas, upon buying the DVD i've continued ever since when watching this film to repeat this scene again, and again. Amy truly has a beautiful voice and this song 'My Immortal' was the best choice for this scene. I think it's the sadest song ever sung, surprisingly I know of only two movies who have used it.

I think this is definately one of the sadest movie moments.

I truly love this scene for it deeply reminds me very well that revenge is never the cure for my pain.

Last year, my true love (that I knew for 6 years and was going to propose to her this summer) was killed by a drunk driver, who was put in jail, but I wanted to kill him so badly for the great pain he caused me. No, you don't understand. The reason he's able to see in the rain is because of the sound the raindrops make when they hit the surface of her body. He sees with her ears. His eyes have nothing to do with it.

His ears perceives echoes with enough acuteness for his brain to a create picture in his mind of the objects that the sound is bouncing off of; his "radar sense". Maybe he just wanted to demonstrate to her that he was looking at her? I don't know.
