  • Just kidding

  • Where's all the debate about whether this or Alice in Chains's versions better?

  • @Brunnera6 as much as I love Alice In Chains, their version just isn't in the same league as Bowies, Now some of the Live versions that A.I.C have done are good , but I feel if you go studio to studio Bowies is far better..More coherent(sp)

  • Best album EVER!

  • I remember buying the single Starman because this was on the B-side around 1972 I think.

  • @ackneyboy I'm 51...I hear ya. I mean..besides the music, the world and in particular, our country was so much better off then. Ya... there was Vietnam, Watergate, the Cold War.....But what is that compared to the sh*t nowadays? At the risk of sounding like an old fart, which I hate....it was a better time to live. Now, the country is more divided than it was during the 60's, the economy is so FUBAR'd, I don't know if it will ever recover, China owns us, radical Islam wants to kill us

  • I hate being a young English guy now there's no one to aspire to producing music at the moment, me and my band hope to change the damned future of british music!

  • @catoes American music sucks too! We have to deal with Beiber and Drake!!! I'm so with you though. I plan on changing music for the better when I grow up (I'm 16, that may not apply to you) too.

  • @blackerthanebony100 Bieber is Canadian. :p

He's Canada's revenge on us for Miley Cyrus.

  • @blackerthanebony100 Drake isn't American he's Canadian FYI

  • @catoes What about Iron Maiden?

  • Driver3

  • @TheTxBandit "driv3r" and no parallel lines :P

  • 3 people are unkind like Henry

  • They should play this song at the end of the NBC Nightly News and Brian Williams should do a little dance while wearing a hat

  • THE "ZIGGY STARDUST" ALBUM, IS ONE OF THOSE CLASSIC (EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE A COPY) ALBUMS. THIS SONG IS MY FAVOURITE OUT OF ALL THE TRACKS ON IT (THINK IT WAS THE "B" SIDE OF THE "STARMAN" SINGLE) HAZEL O'CONNOR DID A GOOD VERSION OF THIS (WHEN I SAW HER IN CONCERT IN THE 80'S)

  • 2 People can't aford the ticket to Suffragette City

  • David Bowie was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.

  • this is on new york minute :) it's really good!

  • this is in Driver Parallel Lines

  • 2 people have no dicks

  • Can some1 tell the directions 4 Suffragette City, please?

  • @grrgrr308 You sir are a faggot to insult the almighty Bowie.

  • @jontehgeek1 Isnt "the almighty Bowie" bisexual? Ohh yes he is! That makes him a cocksucker=gay aka bisexual (still not ready to come out). So calling me a faggot as an insult for not liking a faggots music. Is kinda wierd don't you think?

  • @grrgrr308 you are not worthy of Bowie's genius, imbecile

  • @grrgrr308 You can be a faggot without being a homosexual. Haven't you seen the South Park episide?

  • @grrgrr308 You are an idiot, aren't you, I think you are.

  • I'm actually kinda scared that this will be played in public 'cause I'll start dancing and singing and won't be able to stop!

  • I love this

  • Bowie would slay Kanye's ass if he got the chance.

  • Kanye's milk toast by comparison........ just shut up n write.

  • Quelle époque, que de bons souvenirs !!!

  • Thank you, David.

  • Hello to everyone who realizes rock music is the best music. Crank those Bose.

  • Hello to everyone who likes music that rocks.

  • I literally wore the grooves out on this album, but this song was well worn!

  • It is curious to me that this song, being well over 30 years old is embraced by the newer generations as well. My parents and I certainly didn't listen to the same music, nor did previous generations share the same music. This is a sort of evolution that has reached a place where we truly live, or it wouldn't be as it is.

  • @sumgai4u2 Actually previous generations did share the same music, but very previously-- one has to go back to the Swing Era of Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Harry James, Tommy Dorsey, et al to see that. And now rock is about as old or older than jazz was at the dawn of the rock 'n roll era, so, yes, it is a sort of evolution.

  • the mother of davide bowie album i really admire this song

  • @gordonw01 I'm from Northern Ireland. People in my family were Killed by the IRA. they were killed In Northern Ireland. If Britain was to relinquish control of northern Ireland (Which isn't something I think they should do) The IRA would cease to exist because It's mission would be completed. For Ireland to be Free (even though it's doing better under British rule) of Britain.

How am I re writing geography exactly?

    Wikipedia can be wrong.

    Brittan is a hole.

  • @HarryCaseyKid I thought you meant the IRA were formed in Northern Ireland, think we are getting our wires crossed here.

Your entitled to your opinion about Britain being a shit-hole but to base it on the wicked actions of the IRA against innocent Britons shouldn't reflect badly on Britain as an Island in my opinion bud.

Sorry to hear about your family members that is terribly sad.

  • @gordonw01 Thanks.

I think you have won this argument =D

Really love your playlists, they have loads of cool music.

  • @gordonw01 in your highest rated comment ting you said "what a great time to have been young and living in Britain." IRA shit was going down in the UK, and Northern Ireland is where that shit comes through, Northern ireland is part of Britain or the uk or whatever hence it wasn't a foreign threat.

I really love David bowie and I see that this was an exciting time with one of the best records of all time being released by him, but Britain was and continues to be a hole.

  • @HarryCaseyKid The IRA are based in Northern Ireland are they ?? Haha.

Now your rewriting History,Geography aswell as being insulting.

I suggest you Wikipedia IRA as you clearly have no idea what your on about.

  • I wanted to chek this song out, because of the movie New York Minute! and I really lke this song!!!!

  • Had to do this! "Hey MANN" lol

  • Kanya West?

    BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Apples and oranges. Two different things entirely. Bowie is a Hall of Fame artist and West is riding on the coat tails of a fading genre but he's too self absorbed to know his future is already behind him.

David Bowie's music on the other hand remains valid because it never fit into a "classification" per si, except rock and roll. Many have gone down trying to reinvent the wheel, and only a golden handful have risen to the top.

So don't get me started on kanya!

  • i love David Bowie screw new music urggh why couldnt i have lived back then

  • I'm 14 and i LOVE this! I hate todays music, seriously, i was born in the wrong year :'(

  • @deluxegamer345: of all the lame ways to get thumbs up,faking your own age has be the lamest.

  • @TheAllSeeingMole82 Oh, really? Well, you don't know shit about me, obviously.

  • @deluxegamer345 - there. now we all agree that no one gives a shit about anyone. you're welcome :)

  • @TheAllSeeingMole82 - i'm 29 and really don't give a shit what you think of my age, musical tastes, religious preferences, political leanings or favorite hamburger toppings. piss off, crybaby

  • @ToriiHunterFan You really should care. Lol. The funnies comment that I have ever read in a while.

  • dirver parallelis lines '-'

  • Check out Bowie in The Hunger, also starred Susan Saradon.. the hospital scene is too much for sure.

  • Okay.., David Bowie, where do you start? he a worldwide star. Was and i guess still is. Load's of great track's to date including Starman, Ground control, Suffragette city, Rebel rebel, Let's dance, Ashes to ashes, Dead man walking, Hello spaceboy and load's load's more! he has played festival's everywhere. Is a londoner. So NEVER an X factor reject!!!! he has done it all you could say. Has also acted in Goodbye Mr Laurence ( think that's the title!) a korean war film i believe. So there u go.

  • @jameyinegypt Just as an aside he owns a bank,,,,,

  • Anyone notice the smiling face in the top left corner? Like some devil child made up out of clouds.

  • @jupiter0225 thats because it is :P

  • WHAM BAM THANK YOU MA'AM!!!!!

  • Gor whatever reason I couldn't get this out of my head today.

  • This song was in a game called driver parallel lines for the PS2. It was the intro to the game. And I like it! In fact I like a lot of David Bowie music right now. :D

  • this is the best song to hear after not having heard it in a long time.

  • There's a guy named Sigi who works at Kwest in Seattle.

  • hes outside Kanye Wests house in the picture

  • @AirdrieUnitedDaft He wouldn't so much as give Kanye West the time of day. They are light years separated in talent; and I'd have to say that Bowie has 99-99/100 percent more talent than West!!

  • @rocketman63 :|

    really man, really

you have to start talking shit about other singers, don't you

you have no idea how stupid that makes you look

  • @TGram29 say what you want but he is sort of right. Bowie is better than west

and this song and ziggy stardust just prove that he is fantastic

  • @TGram29 What in the hell are you nattering on about? I'M not the one who tied Kanye West in with David Bowie.

I forgive you for your misinformed crack about "how stupid that makes you look". You're too young to have seen the times when the radio dial was filled with great music from one end to the other. I feel sorry for you if you believe that Kanye West and his sort REALLY offer anything other than "lookit me" theatrics. A little proof of popular music's steep, 15-year decline!!

  • @rocketman63 this is more of this "DEM DARN YUNGINS" crap

you're acting like an old man over a bunch of music; people listen to what they want to, maybe it's time you respect that

  • @TGram29 What an incredibly condescending thing to say, though I shouldn't be surprised. FWIW, I absolutely respect your ability- everyone's ability- to listen to whatever you please. But it's asking too much to expect me, or any old bastard to give "cred" to rap, hip hop or anything else rattling around in that drawer. Too much great stuff has already been done and rap can't compare. Think I'm wrong? Give THIS tune another listen!

  • @TGram29 Looked in a mirror lately? LOLz

  • LOL

  • @AirdrieUnitedDaft Hopefully planting a bomb!

  • @AirdrieUnitedDaft

I noticed that too. I only discovered Bowie a few years ago..yet I am into all sorts of music..from 3-6 mafia to Nick Cave. Im surprised Kanye hasnt exploited this album cover. HAHA!

  • @AirdrieUnitedDaft Lol! haha! Didnt notice that! :)

  • @AirdrieUnitedDaft how do you know its not Karl Malone's house???

  • @AirdrieUnitedDaft: Yo,Spiders from Mars,I'm real happy for you, and I'mma let you finish, but the E Street Band is one of the best backing bands OF ALL TIME!

  • Not bad, this Bowie bloke! Is he new?

  • @candelise You are not being serious?! are you? i take you are joking then.

  • @jameyinegypt No, really! Is that really his name? Is he someone who has tried various angles since the mid-sixties trying to make it, or is he some reject from the X-Factor who thought that name might get him noticed? Please tell, I need some info, thanks!

  • @candeliseJust get back from walk about, did you? Bowie's been around since the late 60s, mate. Started making it big in the 70s and then on to movies in the 80s

  • freddie mercury gli fa una sega....

  • My oh my, Bowie at his very best. Fast-moving, energetic and kind of punk-y! Mick Ronson was sure on top of his game.... ripping rhythm guitar punctuated with a tasteful solo that leaves ya wanting more! GREAT song from a great rock era.

  • Good song.
