Orfevre, a son a Stay Gold, won the 71sr editon of the Satsuki Sho on April 24, 2011. The Satsuki Sho is the first leg of Japan's triple crown for three year olds. It is usually run at the Nakayama Racecourse, but was moved this year to Tokyo due to the great earthquake. Time was 2:00.60 for the 2000 meters, that at the Tokyo Racecourse ends in an uphill stretch.

Not just in Japan! But as a fan of SS during his racing days,the denigration of SS is nothing new. Heck RABID Easy Goer fans still think that SS just got lucky in beating EG in 3 of 4 BIG G1 races in the USA! Thats after 21 years LOL! I guess those types will just never ever get it!
