I'm not sure if it's ethical to sell hybrid Cichlids for anything other then feeding to another fish. Hmmmm. Eitherway, you're in the United States and I'm in Canada... so that would be hard to work out o.O
My video above is of my hybrids between a bayou cichlid and an albino cichlid from the store. The fishes colors are so cool cause they have a bluish color, but when they get scared they turn pale. unfortunately the father and the mother are no longer with us. dad died of old age and mother died of shock. but check them out.
I crossed a Marleri and a Dickfeldi once. The Marleri was small for his species because I raised him in a 10 gallon on the porch with no filtration and rarely fed him. Much later I set up a new tank and added the Dickfeldi, I watched them spawn several times making lots and lots of babies.
Does she have egg spots on her anal fin? They may be faint. I couldn't tell by the video. If she does she could be a Melanochromis vermivorus (Purple cichlid). If not best guess is a Zebra.
The father is not the electric yellow; it's the Melanochromis Chipokae. As for the mothers (yes 2 of them are breeding) the breeder said they where Pseudotropheus Socofoli, still he might have had that wrong...
Then again maybe I have it all mixed up & the father is the electric yellow but then I must ask myself, where's the yellow? x.x
oh and btw i have one of those yellow ones too and the male of that one is approximately the same except that its mostly blue... not yellow like the female.
the albino is a cichlid from lake malawi I'd say, but the julidochromis is from lake tanganjika. Malawis are mouthbrooders, while julidochromis are not. Therefore it is very unlikley, if not impossible at all, that these two species will ever brood togehter...
Wow this video is very interesting, you should be proud of yourself, making new variations of life. This video is great just like your other, I can't wait to see more of your Hybrid Cichlids and videos, you never cease to succed inspiring me in your videos, keep it up. AND OH YEAH! BEFORE I FORGET DON'T FORGET TO SAVE ME A SMOOTHIE, I'VE BEEN DYING FOR ONE, AND SAY HI TO THE FAMILY FOR ME. - Your best friend in the world, Vincenzo F. Velasco
Good to know you liked it. I made it in approximately 2 hours. It isn't supposed to be an epic halo montage or something but rather I just want to know what the species the albino cichlid is? If anyone knows please tell me.
That seems highly plausible. They do look like albino red zebras. Maybe the albinos are hybrids too. Btw, the hybrids are into their 4th generation or something right now and the original hybrid fry & their parents are gone. I'll have to make another video o.o
the albino cichlid looks like an electric yellow cichlid

@BlueBerryWizard the ablino cichlid is a pseudotropheus socofoli aka snow white socofoli they are at petsmart

@batterballz1
That's what I was told they where when I acquired them in the first place all those years ago...
These guys are more pinkish & have a body structure more like Metriaclima estherae than pseudotropheus socofoli though.
