And I am a new user. I had everything configured in an hour or two.

  • okay i got the four thing but when i flip it there is no top or bottom

  • Uhm, one thing, mine only has 2 fces, how to change?

  • right click over the desktop icons in the main bar and scroll up to preferences. It brings up a menu that asks how many desktops you want and you just make your choice from there.

  • OMG That Was easy!! I love you

  • hey man on your main gnome panel, you changed the animation so the menus "bounce" in (like when you click on System > Preferences... etc.), i've been looking everywhere in the CCSM and i can't find how to change that...mine is stuck on the default boring fade-in fade-out...

how the heck do you change that setting?

  • i found it-

go to System > PreferencesCompiz Config Settings Manager

    enable "Wobbly Windows"

click on Wobbly Windows and change "Map Effect" to "Shiver"

    any ideas? =\

  • Same thing for me... D:

  • on the bottom of the original dock on the right hand side you'll see the number of desktops and a mini representation of them, just right click over that and scroll down to preferences, click it and it brings up the menu to choose how many desktops you get.

  • so here I agree, I do the same n i've nt advanced settings..so I need 2 know how to find em. pls any answer..

  • Great tutorial, thanks man!

  • hi i did what you said and got the 4 cubes but two of them are left blank what do i do?

  • I would suggest to Google it because that's the first time Ive ever heard of anything like that happening.

  • you did not get 4 cubes, you got 6 sides, two of em are blank, duh. using cube without a reason is weird anyway, 2 workspaces is more than enough if you're not a fkn graphic designer or something. and thanks for posting this vid, could be explained much better etc but at least I could get some clue out of it unlike other people who just post how cool their unoriginal cube looks....gawd... thanks
