  • I met Kid Creole when he played in Scarborough, he was so lovely!

  • There's no way one can get bored of a band this talented, musical and FUNKYYYYYY!!!!!! Com'on August Darnell, DO IT!!!!

  • kid is still there, but they`ve canged the coconuts

    LUI

  • Different class....They don't do this any more......

  • Ders a genahlman going 'round, turning the joint upside down!

  • Je savais bien que j'avais deja vu son look quelque part !!! Il l'a copié sur Cad Colloway un chanteur métis avant gardiste qui chantait et dansait au Cotton Club dans les années 1920., J'adore ce groupe. (et Cad Colloway)

  • No matter the genre, when it gives you goose-pimples on your arms you know it`s a home run, superb, gorgeous !

  • Augustus Supreme!...many thanks for this

  • im pretty sure they arent the original coconuts sounds good though.

  • wow nice coconuts too .....

    ('80's) ...great time. great show......

  • way to go Kid, you're the Man!

  • Twenty-five years,and this man hasn't lost a single step.Please tour the northeast again,your fans are still here,waiting.

  • still have a couple of zoot suits....august..u were and still r the man

  • This is really cool !!

  • Fanfookintastic!

  • Kid Creole and Company can still put on a great show. I hope that they are on tour this summer in Europe.

For the record, Uncle Prince and Uncle Morris were doing stuff like this before we even heard or saw Kid Creole and Company perform.

  • both kid and "the kid" and morris were doing what james did before.

  • For the record, the Kid is much older than Prince and Morris and he was doing this stuff in the mid-70s with his Dr' Buzzard's Savannah Band when Prince was maybe 15 years old. Besides Kid Creole was in his heyday between 1981-83, when Prince was just starting to make a name (that was before 1984 and Purple Rain).

  • For a silly old pop song, that is one heck of a good orchestra. The legs are great too!

  • so clean and tight...i wondered why it sounded different, and i realised the normal accents on larsony are on plastic surgery almost sounds sped up, and the orchestra of course :P

  • Coconuts NEVER looked that good even in the 80's - unless..... Birmingham Odeon?

  • Kid still sounds great! Looks good! Different Coconuts, I guess, though.

  • kid got some fresh nuts i see

  • great SHOW MAN.......

  • it hit my nuts man !

    great ...thx

  • Excellent!!! Brings back memories. Great show they put on, good sound and video quality, thanks for posting!

  • I'm really starting 2 think that Prince studied Kid Creole extensively. he resembles Prince in the "Lifeboat Party" video and all is clearly preceded Morris Day. I challenge any1 2 listen 2 this cut and the listen 2 The Time's "Chocolate"

  • There is no doubt that Morris Day and Prince were influenced by Kid. Day was alomst a carbon copy of Kiid in the early 80s

  • I 4got yhr title, but, Kid did write/give a song to Prince. I was a hit.

  • Awesome zook suit, mmmmm those coconuts are tasty, but are they the originals.

  • agree with jellybean2144,what a decade!!!

prince and kid creole had a wordwide tour, produced a lot of artists, and shooted his own film...all at the same time,in 1983!!

    very similar...

  • not the original band as well, coati mundi is missing...

    but the Kid stills great!!!

  • Everyone in the audience knows the words and the lesson. The FBI will burn anyone, anytime, any reason that covers their stink. Love this song forever.

  • The Kid is the Epitomy of Coolness!

  • Nice to know they are still performing as they used to.

Crazy summers dancing and listening them all night long.

  • The Orchestra was rocking the joint!

  • There were only a few groups of the 80s that I really loved; Prince/The Time/Kid Creole and that was it. I had to have all of their music when it came out. Long live the Kid!!!

  • ooh baby , saw it in the 80's man it is still effing great . woo hoo

  • Love the Kid with a full orchestra!

And of course the Coconuts are still HOT...

  • Go on girls nice back combing !
