Realizing that most of your friends and family have commented here, I just would like to say that your voice is nice, but JANIS (not Janice) is not a halloween costume. If you really want to pay tribute to Janis Joplin, then by all means sing her songs and sing them your own way. Doing an immitation of Janis does two things; 1 it takes away from your voice because you will always be compared to her and no one is as good as Janis, & 2 it does not showcase your own talent.
