Looks Awesome!! What did you use for the front hubs, spindles, a-arms, ball joints, tie rods, rack-pinion, shocks?? I need to finish my build, FZ750... I'm trying to research what works best... so any info would be appreciated.. thanks!!
awesome, i didnt have a propper bike, nor parts, or money to spend around, instead, i chopped a go cart in half, welded mounts, and had a mini dirt bike mounted in the back, all stearing is from the go cart, goes awesome, having trouble starting it tho :( ill post vids soon
I went with square because it is easier to cut and being flat made it easier to mount equipment. I read a ton of back and forth between round vs square... just decided to go with square. I dont have a shop, I only have my drivewway to work. So anything to make life a bit easier.
The small vids you are looking at sr not with all the braces welded in. I the the center top and bottom of the triple clamp as well as a spot on each upper side of the motor/frame and 2 points on each side of the lower sides of the frame. In all these are 8 points of attachment. VW beams are way too heavy, I would ditch the beam and make a-arms to use the spindles. Thanks for looking and the feed back.
Building one my self with GSXR750 and a VW front beam. Looks like your frame is only tied into the bikes triple clamp bolt and the top engine mount. I'm thinking that's not enough support?
I did not have an issue with that, my issue came with the rear swingarm...the motorcycle swing arm is not made to have side stress put on it...I will not use a motorcycle swingarm again with out a ton of mods to make it more stiff.
