  • there's a nice town park, pool, athletic field and a golf course! Some small retail and just about anything you'd want. I like these small "French rooted" towns they seem to be pretty full of "joie de vivre" Don't forget that gigantic dinosaur out at the main road intersection at Hwy 13!! :D

  • I lived there when I was around like.. 3 years old till I was probably, 9-10 years old.

My parents used to work at pontiex cafe. if you ask around, you maybe might of heard about them :]

  • ooo. i used to live there, now that i look back on it, it's a really small town =\

  • Well, not when compared to, say, Gouverneur, or Quimper.

  • I live in Ponteix and it is pronounced "pahn-teks"

Even our sister town in France pronounces it this way

  • Thank U, but are there variations on the pronunciation, even within the town?

  • Not at all, though we only range from pure English speaking to pure French speaking population- I have never heard it pronounced differently from anyone. The town has much interaction with it's sister town in France-they visit regularly and they all agree.

  • You don't say the X ! An interesting church

there and former private school. Love the grain elevators there in the one shot.

  • Sorry. No 'X' it shall be. Pon tieh?
