Philly: Walk Under the El. Margaret & Orthodox at 7 AM.

There is a shit hole bar I went to a few times near Margaret and Frankford. It's cheap, is the only good thing about it. Billy's Chili Pot, plus Witches Inn. The topless bar, once in a while I still drive by it. The Witches Inn has been closed for 6yrs?? And not one person has shown interest in it. I was actually pulled over by a transit cop, for absolutely no reason. He was wondering what I was up to. White guy driving in a new car, on the ave. lol.

Wow. Growing up in Summerdale, I remember in the early to mid 80s going shopping and to the bank with my parents down at Margaret & Orthodox ... paying the gas bill and going to the post office, too. Now, you wouldn't catch me walking around there at any time let alone 7am. God bless the Ebonic Plague that's destroying the Great Northeast one house, one block, one neighborhood at a time.

@gigfydotcom I hear ya, I know what ya mean, I went to frankford high in "78" and had to get on and off the El right there and I agree it looked nothing like what it is today, very sad to see it change like it did. It use to be very clean and safe with nice businesses all under the El, etc...
