It was at a local bookstore on a school night and because it was getting so late in the evening, he had the line re-arranged so all the kids in elementary and middle school got moved to the head of the line so they could get home at a decent time.

Over the past couple thanksgivings, I've had fried turkey, i will never go back to baked turkey.

This is the only guy, and I do mean the ONLY guy on Food Network that made me want to watch that channel. I saw the show, added FN to my list of channels that I rotate through. Every show was boring and the results looked inferior to what could be done with some 7% beef and a barbecue. Good Eats, of course, was the exception!

Turkeys are wonderfully moist done this way and not greasy as one would think. I would recommend placing your fryer in an outdoor area though for safety!

Because in the 8 hrs it takes to bake a 30lb turkey I can deep fry 3 of the same size. Plus there is more moisture in the meat, and it is easier to season.
