After Down the Road, this is my 2nd favorite song from the Street Action album. Randy Bachman could never sing this well. This is a song after hearing once, you never forget. And I mean that in a good way.
I think Street Action is BTO's best album, better even than anything they did previously with Randy. It has seven great songs, only two duds. Street Action wasn't exactly the return to hard rock as was advertised, it's more like a cross between Head On and Freeways. But the songs are great and it's a shame the album wasn't promoted properly, everyone involved seemed to be asleep at the switch. The follow-up album, Rock N Roll Nights, is not as good.
This should have been the single. "Down the Road" didn't have a killer hook.

Always liked Jim Clench...Oooowatanite was one of the better early April Wine tunes.
Blair's solos are great...this album should have done better.

The opening bass riff sounds like theme music for a game show.

Uploading mastertape quality was never my primary objective here. You usually have to pay for quality.
