Pacey and Joey's relationship was the best handled teen relationship on any show ever. They didn't fall in love the moment they saw each other but they'd been friends since childhood and even when they did start falling for each other the writers took it slow. And the relationship was meaningful and realistic. I don't think there's ever been a teen romance on a tv show that was written so well.
I love how Joey always grabs Pacey's hand whenever they leave somewhere. I don't remember it happening before season 3, but it definitely continues through season 6
i love this episode soo cute, and me to i wish dawson and jen would end up together i hate how they killed her off at the end.and as for joey and pace,he over reacts with dawson thinking they are sleeping together and calls her a "flipping goddess" and this is the episode where pacey realizes he is in love with joey aw p.s. i love dawson's laugh at 4:31 really should check it out

Yeah. He asked "When did you discover your love for ballroom dancing" which was the same when he was clueless about her artistic nature as well. You're right, he didn't really know her, just the idea of her. Dawsons only wanted her when it was clear Pacey did.
What gets me is Dawson didn't care when Joey was with other guys, like when A.J. comes into the picture later. But flips out when it is Pacey, despite the fact that earlier Dawson pushed Joey to Pacey b/c he didn't want her.
you are right about the AJ thing, but he didn't push Joey to Pacey to hook them up, but as a sort of pause between D/J, but that went totally awry... Maybe he sees that Pacey is the only one who could be with Joey the way he was or wanted to be, and that AJ was no match.

Your right, Pacey practically confesses to Dawson when theyr talkin about Joey. He did have to suspect somethin when Pacey said she is a goddess, just by the look of his face and the way he is talkin about her you can tell that he loves her...Dawson is such a dumbass in that episode.

The funny tihin is it was his best friend, and he did eventually ask Dawson's permission. But Dawson was still a douche about the whole thing.
I love all the forshadowing the earlier episodes of season 3 did.
