What a beautiful song. Would you believe is the first time I've heard it. Beautiful pictures as well Jackie, you really do Elvis proud. Why aren't these songs heard more publicly on radio.
What an excellent compilation of photos of Elvis. I really believe, as it's been said before, that Elvis has been one of the most photographed men of all time. Some of these I've never seen before and I've looked at many, many of Elvis. Thanks for posting.
If you remember, "A Little Less Conversation" became a hit long after Elvis' death. I think this song should be re-examined. I'm like so many of you other commenters here. I think the American Sound Studio sessions were some of the best that Elvis ever recorded. You can just tell by the sound of his voice, that his motivation is high and his creative juices are really flowing.
There will always be those who point out the flaws and shortcommings of an individual. But there are those who left this earth a better place in spite of all who find fault. What an extraordinary talent he is.
Thank you very much....Missing Elvis so much after all this time..Lovely pics, lovely song. lovely man and still I am seeing photos of him I have never seen before. I cannot imagine anyone being as handsome as the one and only Elvis Presley..If only he was here with us now.
i have ALL the bootlegs of the 1969 "memphis sessions"(the american way, american crown jewels, finding the way home, etc, etc.)but i have NEVER EVER found an alternate version/undubbed version of this excellant song from the 1969 studio sessions?-does anybody know where i can get it please??-thanks for sharing the song!
This is such a beautiful song, it's amazing not many people know it. I sometimes sing it to myself as I'm driving. I first heard it when I was about 17, my friend had it on audio cassette (it was 1983) and I couldn't get it out of my head for years. I keep coming back to it. Without Love is another great song, Elvis recorded that in the same sessions.
Another gem from American Sound Studio's. One could argue the best recording sessions in Elvis' life. Chips Moman was as magic as Elvis in these sessions.
Written by Doug Flett and Guy Fletcher. Elvis recorded it February 21, 1969 at American Sound Studios. It is also known as The Fairs Moving On. The single release did not chart. It was the B-side to Clean Up Your Own Back Yard. It is available on Back in Memphis, From Memphis to Vegas/From Vegas to Memphis, The Memphis Records, From Nashville to Memphis-The Essential 60s Masters, and Suspicious Minds 1999, which is where this version is from.
This is such a very magnificent, overlooked and underrated song. I've always been such a huge fan of this song. It should be way, way, way better known than it is. It's one of hundreds of very seldom "known about" gems recorded by King Elvis. Elvis will definitely always be #1. This video was absolutely perfect in every way, 10 Stars as always Jackie.
i could name around 20 presley songs , knowing that the radio stations would play one of them. its scandalous that this song and hundreds more are not as well known as they should be. this guy has been voted the artist of the century for christs sake.
I heard this on the radio today for the first time. Beautiful song.
