This review of my favourite SNES RPG made me subscribe to Roo. (Well actually a bit from Asalieri recommendation too).

What I really loved Terranigma was the theme of reincarnation and the awesome soundtrack.

When you went on the whole hassle that would be getting a EU SNES in the US....

You could always just get a brazilian TV, they'll take any kind of electricity current and video format (both PAL and NTSC)

This game was not released in NA for GOOD REASON...i.e., it sucks ass! Slower, buggier, dumber, and overall more crappy than Soul Blazer and Gaia...anyone who thinks this game is better is a certifiable retard. Maybe I just have a bad rom, but I hate this game with a passion, while I love the other quintet games (except actraiser 2, which also sucks ass).

Actraiser 2 is such a terrible game. I remember buying it because the first Actraiser is so awesome. I still have that terrible Actraiser 2 sitting around in a box.

@ra7thsign I know you didn't just say that about the best game in the history of time. I'm sure you had a crappy rom/emulator/computer/brain because the action is way faster than soul blazer and is a bit faster than IoG. I never ran into any bugs in the 50 or so hours of gameplay which was a landmark back then. The story line was so fantastic that I was emotionally unstable for at least a week after beating it. To top it off the soundtrack was incredible as well.IMO you're the retard here.

Sansara Naga 2 is similar to this game. it wasn't released in the US so very underrated. and it has very sad story, character and music.

Thank you for this awesome series, specifically this episode. I grew up with a Genesis, so I missed out on one of the greatest gens for RPGs; it took FF9 to get me hooked on the genre. Now that I'm able to go back and play these gems, I'm glad that there's someone who can turn my attention to great 16 bit RPGs without simply pointing to Chrono Trigger and FF6 (love them both) and calling it a day. I'm currently playing through the "Gaia Trilogy", and it's one of my best gaming experiences.
