This interview is on the "A Place in the Sun" dvd in the 'extras'. It's a beautiful movie if you haven't seen it...Monty and Liz...just stunningly gorgeous.
Thank you SO much for posting this! Monty and Elizabeth were the perfect fit and it's lovely to hear her speak about him. If you have anything else, please share it! They will forever be missed but never forgotten.
An other great interview/featurette. Thank you so much for sharing this clip with us Rich. Elizabeth looks beautiful in her interview. I loved her hairdo. :)
Do you know which years this interview is from?
When I see it I can't help but thinking that there's been so many missed opportunities for her to do movies in the 1990s and 2000s. :(
@richardbassett1956 Thanks Rich, I think the fact that I can't tell if it's 1990s or 2000s just proves how good Elizabeth looks in the interview! It's hard to tell her age! ;)
I love Liz Taylor because she was so talented, glamorous, and she acted her butt off her whole life. And I like her because, although she was a serial marrier, she was not a slut or whore like many of the men and women of Hollywood in the past and today. Not to start an argument and no offense to Marilyn fans, Liz did not let people take advantage of her and she was not purely sex symbol. There is much more to her. She was not a helpless woman lol.
Finally, a video on Taylor's acting skills and not her dirty laundry (which I couldn't care less about.) I hope to find more of these types of vids on youtube.
Richard, thanks for posting this. I LOVE Elizabeth Taylor! She is a wonderful person and her true beauty is her heart. Thanks for your appreciation. God bless you both.
I could listen to her for hours, what a beautiful lady. The same with Michael Jackson, his talking voice (and singing voice) was gorgeous. I bet she misses him so much, as we all do. Its great that she is still alive and strong,...what a lady!!
Elizabeth Taylor will always be beautiful, I believe. And she's a hero - outliving almost all of her peers, friends, lovers, and family. I just love her. :)
I wish they would have let her do more roles like "who's afraid of virgina woolf"" roles that werent so glamourized. Roles that showed that she does have more range then they give her credit for. I mean I cant stop watching her when she is performing no matter what ,
This was a wonderful movie and the electricity between Elizabeth and Monty was awesome. She had been named by popular acclamation "the most beautiful woman in the world" and indeed she was!
Fabulous post, thanks so much. A Place in the Sun is one of my favorites of all time. I am a huge Montgomery Clift fan. IMHO, you can put him in the same class with Brando. Liz and Monty together was pure magic.
Totally new to me, this interview! And I thought I'd seen them all. She is great here, her last real hurrah--very lucid, looks good (love that big mane of hair!) 2002? Thank you for posting this. The interview material you post is so essential for anybody interested in her life; you have some sense of WHY she was the greatest star. By far.
I still have those interviews from 1986-1997 but posting them isn't as easy as it once was. YouTube has changed some policies and now that google owns YouTube....you can't take away from the market value of video's. Say Oprah wanted 'The Best of Oprah' and my Oprah and Liz interviews are on line. You decrease the value. YouTube use to look the other way. They can't do that now so, as for films...I can 'tease' with a trailer, or tells photo stories. Things are limiting now.
Great clip and an interview I haven't seen before. Some of my favorite videos that you've posted have been interviews that Elizabeth has done over the years. Please add those as you can, it's so great to see the real woman in an interview. I enjoy the clips of films but I can watch the films again and again. The interviews are virtually impossible to come by and you seem to have some wonderful sources. Please continue to share these rare glimpses of Elizabeth with us all.
