So in order for the Sprirt of the Lord to be present it must be done at that moment? Does this mean that the Spirit of the Lord can't be something inspirational and cause you to do something for Him? Again the assumption is to interpret that the Spirit works instantly and the person responds instantly.

That to me is putting restrictions on how the Spirit works within people. Would it not be possible that someone wants to edify the Lord and the Spirit comes upon them to show their expression in a well choreographed yet inspired by God way?

I truly have no idea how David reacted and how quickly as I wasn't there. I do know that in the present day though that I would never assume that i understand fully how the Spirit moves in everyone or what inspiration is brought to them. I do know though that i would never tell ANYONE that I know whether the spirit inspired their routine or not.

the whole point of this song (which I remember well as a newish Christian in the 80's), is that it reflects the Hebrew/Jewish Roots we (Christians) came from.

What happened!!! :( I feel sad that some newer Christians seem to have missed this.

Rap is fine (I have 2 teens, and there needs to be provision for all), but this has changed something good, (from the 70's/80's revival/renewal), out of all recognition almost, and removed the powerful Holy Spirit annointing on it.
