Tut tut, i notice that YT are at it again, it appears that they have now removed all our channel profile pictures if you are still using the old layout, as the changeover is now only three weeks away it seems they are slowly beginning to dismantle our old channels, may i suggest an additional course of action to each and everyone who hates the new layout, as well as this weekends boycott, come march 7th there should be a mass deletion of all our accounts, let's hurt YT like they have hurt us!

I don't think you should make your vids private, just disable ads. I really don't think one or two days of ad revenue loss will hurt a giant like youtube which is owned by Google; what it will do is hurt the partners who rely on this money to pay their bills. If Google really wants to implement these changes, I think the best thing to do is write them and tell them you are opposed; flood their inbox and shut down their servers like the sopa/pipa thing a while back. Then they will listen,

@thepastormike Yes, we're writing them as well. My commercial music vids have ads that go on them automatically - so I make them private. I don't see how my doing this hurts the partners - does it? Let me know. My understanding is that the partners get money per X # views on their OWN vids, so it's their choice to disable the ads. I think they'll suffer in the long run, though, as it'll be harder for them to get subs when they look like everyone else here. Thanks for your input!

@grizzlyten Oh I see what you are saying..so you have material that is not yours that youtube has placed ads on..o.k. that makes sense. See I am a youtube partner so if i private my videos I lose money. It's a good thing you are doing, I hope Youtube comes to it's senses. Good luck in your endeavors.

@thepastormike Yes, for me it makes sense to disable my vids. For others - not so much. It depends on the situation. I know what Google's trying to do with all this but I think they can do it without wiping out everyone's individuality. It's more than just losing fun. I mean, we also have new musicians and artists trying to start up, and social cause channels. They add greatly to the diversity here, and they'll just get lost in a sea of grey. Don't know if we'll succeed, but we'll try!!

If you're talking about playlists/favorites uploaded by other users , we don't have control on it , 'cause we don't own them ( we only can hide them on OUR channel ) .

Playlists with OWN videos are unreachable , in case they're set in private .
