Wow this was so flipping long ago. I miss the Blue Knights from my freshman year. Messina was the best drill coach we had. I remember the bus ride home from this too we were singing Queen haha! Miss those good Drill times!! I still go and visit them when I get the chance!!
This motivates me to start having my drill commanders out on that pad practicing a lot more. This group looked sharp and Excellent and that's exactly how I want my corps to look and represent.
C/Capt. Howard. Executive Officer La-934 AFJROTC.
and by all means, my fellow cadets, please join the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps group on Facebook. It would be much obliged and potentially helpful to Corps that are just starting or Corps that are in need of some form of assistance.
Very nice work! Our school's JROTC program is relatively small, but we happen to be one of the best in the state. I wish you best luck in future competitions!
So, I'm thinking this team must have had a pretty damn good Instructor to be able to look this good. ;-) We were so lucky to have the coach we did. We never would have gotten here without him. Thank You, Sir.
A few questions about their RD, I thought that all cadets, except the commander were to wear flight caps? And the arm swing looks too big, like the german military .
This is Southern Regional High School, in Manahawkin, NJ. They are far from being rich. The school give their JROTC program zero money. Those cadets raised all the money that went into that drill team.
You should take your own advise and read the drill manuals. Nowhere does it say in any of the manuals, regardless of service, that the arms are pinned during color guard detail. If you can find it, then give the reference. Not everyone does 6 and 3 on the arm swing. The US Army does 9 and 6. The judges, however, did not have a problem with the arm swing, seeing that the team took the overall in that meet.
Coventry High Dominated the armed division that year. i am on the team this year [2008] and we owned. but you guys looked pretty damn good. great video, and awesome job.

it sucks all units have to turn in M1's by the end of the year

at least they get m1's st.paul public schools dont even get any....which sucks..
JapanezeSportsTune 3 years ago
When the Air Force was issuing M1s, every Air Force JROTC unit had a chance to get them. All the Instructors had to do was ask.
