Prototype was just to show off a new toy they designed. And they all died to give all the segments a sad ending. War almost never has a happy ending. Especially if the enemy is highly advanced like the Covenant.

with the prototype suit how does a normal UNSC marine control it. the only reason that a spartan can control their armor is due to a neural uplink to the suit itself the suit moves the body not like a normal suit of armor where the body moves the armor

I actually had that feeling before during a big team battle on reach, was on a 12 kill streak killing banshees and elites until I got shot 50 meters away by a scorpion and laid exactly the same way (sadly no severed arm)
