Buffy Sainte-Marie is by far my favorite singer and songwriter, and this is truely one of her gems. Her version of this song is part of the soundtrack of my life, and has been firmly planted there for 37 years or so. This version is lulling and beautiful as well. thanks for sharing it!
I've loved this song by Buffy Ste-Marie since her album with the same name came out in the early 70's. As much as I love Buffy's version, I muct say this is lulling and beautiful as well. Buffy is by far one of my favorite songwriters. Great work!
most my music videos involve some kind of serendipity... synchronizing what i'm listening to with something i've shot or something i've found.
it's a mysterious song, and a really beautiful rendition by dean & britta. i got lucky fooling around with the shutter speed on the camera (but i know enough to hold a steady frame). and of course, the wave swinger is a beautiful work of art in itself.
This song brought tears to my eyes, I think it's supposed to... I didn't think Dean could do it again after Galaxie 500 and Luna, but there he goes again! His voice sounds beautiful with Britta's soft vocals, and his guitar sound has softened, but maintains his signature! Excellent.
This song was written and originally sung by the Native American (Cree) singer, songwriter and world-class activist for indiginous rights/rites, Buffy Sainte-Marie.
It looks like one of the space stations in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Nicely done!

This is interesting to compare with the Galaxie 500 version on the Galaxie 500's BBC Sessions CD.

Ich liebe diesen song. Er soll bei meiner Beerdigung als letztes gespielt werden - gleich nach Unchained Melody (von Elvis) :-)
