  • the games matter, he probably was so focused he didnt even hear you lol. he was a consistent starter, ofcourse he deserves to be in cooperstown. lol why did i even write this much to you, waste of time because chances are you just don't get it.

  • Yes otroe1, it's Billy!

  • Is that other guy Billy Ripken?

  • LOOK UP PERRINE BASEBALL ADRIEN#24

  • @eversotired cal Ripken could actually hit a ball going 90+ mph. U probably can't hit 50-60 mph

  • @xcris... During a GAME?...Hmmmmmmm.

  • ONE OF THE WORST PERSONALITIES THE GAME HAS EVER SEEN. THIS GUY IS SCUM. ONE TIME I ASKED HIM FOR AN AUTOGRRAPH DURING THE GAME AND HE WOULDNT EVEN LOOK AT ME. COCKY AND ARROGANT, WOULDNT EVEN GIVE A FAN HIS AUTOGRAPH. COOPERSTOWN? I DONT THINK SO. ID PUT ROSE IN BEFORE THIS WANNEBE LOSER

  • @xCRiSpINAtTux47x they aren't allowed to sign autographs "during" a game, or they get fined.....and no player would sign for you "during a game", they are focused ofcourse they aren't going to look at you. Their professionals.

  • great job cal...coaches - visit bftgu.com for other great baseball info

  • Watch Michael Robles - switch hitter - The dude explodes on the ball!

  • I'm way better then Cal Ripken

  • IF ALL U GUYS NOW SO MUCH ABOUT BASEBALL! WHY DON'T U STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND TRY TO HIT 90+ MPH FAST BALL? EASIER SAID THAN DONE RIGHT? OR BETTER YET TRY 2 PLAY A 2000 AND + GAMES. 162 GAMES,TRAVELING,PLAYING HURT NOT EASY HUH?

  • one of my coaches played for the yankees

  • lol... right before he says, "the hitter's first move is here", camera goes to Cal! Then, continuing the instruction, we hear "here, here, here" while getting a mug shot of Cal!

  • He's right about the grip that helpe me alot

  • You must be 10 years of age, give or take a couple.

  • Who the hell is this guy? Show me a pro player for crying out loud!

  • @brianpadraic "Who the hell is this guy?" Do some research for cryin' out loud. Can you say HoF? Can you say RoY? Can you say Ironman? And that doesn't mean the comic book hero or the song.

  • Cal Ripkins a friken studd

  • I did a Report on Him in 4th Grade.

    Ripken is The Man.

Little Known Fact: His Handshake was known as one of the Most Fearsome in all of Sports. Im Sure he can still give a Mean Knuckle Overlapper to the Avg Man.

  • He should be able to he was much bigger than the average man.

  • Also another Know Fact Cal ..don't let Cal teach you how to steal a base he rarely did so in a career spanning one of the longest in Basball History. stole 36 and was caught 39 times.

Interesting he wasn't fast enough to steal a base but people think he had incredible range at SS, he didn't have speed, a thirdbaseman playing short.

  • you dont need speed to have good range on the infield, its all about reaction. plus he had good reach because of his height.

  • Hey, check out usabaseballtube. It's a video streaming site strictly for baseball players to Showcase Their Skills. Upload anything related to baseball, favorite players, instructional, etc.

  • the last clean player in baseball...

  • cal is the real deal, hands down.

  • heres a tip...if u can see the ball.then u can hit the ball

  • dats really a really good tip

  • Soriano uses a 36-36???? Damn!

  • i play on the aberdeen arsenal and cal is one of our coaches im good friends with his son and he used that bat sometimes in games look us up

  • Ripken hit a Home Run every 26.8 At Bats

  • He did hit .247 in Majors nothing to awesome but .247 is decent.

Besides there is only so much one can teach it's a 99.9% of talent than what one is taught. If it was as simple as learning hitting then everyone would be a major league hitter.

  • cammera man stinks good video

  • really cause its kind of hard to film through a net at a subject thats about 100 feet away. and whats wit your fretret video, that was "professionally done" that camera man stunk too kid. glad you like the video though, thanks for watching.

  • Billy Ripken shouldnt be giving hitting lessons, brilliant defensive 2nd basemen, but not a very good hitter.

  • still, he was a major leage player, not many people in this world can say that, considering.

  • don't be stupid. billy ripken is a better hitter than about 99.9% of other people. somebody could only be so lucky as to get a hitting lesson from a person who was in the big leagues for over a decade... this guy is a ripken, you think he doesn't know how to hit? stupid stupid stupid

  • ditto.

  • all he had was consistency? what else do you want?

psh, yeah cal ripken sucked.... all he did was have well over 400 career homers and 3,184 hits (14th most all time) win a ROY and two AL MVPs... yeah, and now he's sittin in cooperstown.

cal ripken sucked? the fans that voted him into 19 straight all star games would probably disagree.

you should go talk about soccer or something, because you clearly know nothing about baseball.

  • you r an idiot. seriously. you know lots about baseball? lol underaged b&

  • or maybe i didn't feel like saying a lot about baseball.. shut up now bitch.

  • That's right man.

  • @EverSoTired hey kid i want to see you to atleast hit a baseball going 95 mph u cant

  • @EverSoTired i bet ur a red soxs fan because they are always making gay comments like this. Acting like you know everything about baseball, call me up when a red sox does all that Ripken did.

  • id be happy to get a hitting lesson from ANYONE who served in the majors let alone Ripkin Jr.

  • @Sleemz WORDDDD!

  • good video

  • yo at like 3:20 when u zoomed in on cal what was billy talking about was he talking about like stepping out or what?

  • yo ithink he was saying how kids lean forward instead of going backward first. i think he later clears it up

  • is that billy ripken

  • yup.

  • soriano is a god

  • I have that Exact same bat ,The Nike Turbine

  • how much is it

  • Well i bought it off my freind for 50 bucks , But its around 150 around there .Great bat . A ton of Pop to it

  • Shouldn't you be loaded before the pitch even comes??? I mean like as the pitcher is winding up you load and wait for it to come to you. Is that what hes talking about..? or is he trying to get that all in one little swing as the pitch is coming to the plate?

  • when the pitcher breaks his hands, thats when you should load

  • Comment removed

  • Yea spoons u should start loadin up durin the windup....

  • Cals' a fantastic player, it is a shame that more players dont have the drive, the focus, and the skill to be an iorn man. This guy is a real ballplayer.
