Someone told me a long time ago that Annette's former boss Walt Disney was not happy about those beach movies she did Frankie Avalon because she wore a bikini which exposed her navel.
My big sister was named after her. Sadly, she passed away from Ovarian cancer 7 months ago. Hollywood should do something to honor her while she's still here...

@RD400D78 thank you so much! It's is so sad that when you hear about Disney Girls now, you think of the scandals that they were involved it. Raven Symone is the only one I can name that hasn't been arrested or caught behaving badly. I'm so glad that I was born in the 70's [1973] and grew up in the 80's as well...when a celeb's private life was clearly kept away from the masses... it's just a shame!!!
Annette was the original 'Jiff' peanut butter spokeswoman. I still think her illness was caused by eating too much peanut butter, which has incomnplete protein. The body needs complete protein amino acids to rebuild organs and tissues. Think before sending your kids to school every day with peanut butter sandwitches.
why do i have the awful feeling that this woman won't be fully appreciated until after her death? she would be the first to admit to any shortcomings as a singer but her enthusiastic spirit always prevails to put the songs over. and her (eternally misunderstood) "goody-goody" image will stand as testament to something truly special that could never be understood by the berserkly sexualized media of today.
@SuesDaytona You can hear the song "My Annette" by Vince Smith on Google and his other songs with his partner. Now he has MS also since the late 80's. Everyone was hoping he would do a duet with Annette, never happed. Annette is a great singer and actress.
@SuesDaytona I think your being a little sarcastic aren't you. You don't even know Vince Smith. Annette and Vince were very good singers. As I fan of both of them I sure do miss them. I know he has a group on yahoo also.

I hate when I look up an actor or actress and see they've died or suffering from a bad disease that there is no cure. I know someone with MS and he now can't drive etc. I hate it.
@SuesDaytona I know exactly what you mean. These magazines keep saying Annette is dieing, nobody knows when that will happen. The same with her friend Vince Smith, he good one day and the next he can't walk again. They need more telethons for MS I think.
