I sure hope it gets animated someday... and a remake of the original, following the manga as well!

@detectiveyoshi This is an individual manga. The blue one, Cou and Ren are on the Red one. There are 7 Shichiko-hoju and apparently there will be a manga for each one of them. Since Ren is just one of them, not all Erementar Gerad story circles around her.

They start in a similar way, but the anime was concluded with a different story that doesn't appear in the manga, which is really bloody and with a pretty interesting story. And well, red manga (based on Cou and Ren) finished on december 2009, now the blue one is the only EG active manga.

@teamaquadan I heard that there were only going to be 4 , but this one is not completly individual, its storyline picks up 2 years AFTER Red ends. And Wolx appears in both Red and Blue, the stories are connected, only the story tells of a new main character.

@TJY5991 What I mean by "individual" is that it has its own story and it does not depend on the other manga. Of course they are all related, because as I said, they tell the stories of the Shichiko-hoju, which literally means "Seven Glittering Jewels", and if we consider the first story had one and the second story had another, then there will probably be 1 story for each one of them. Besides, Blue also shows Cisqua's older sister.

@teamaquadan It is true that the mangaka said in the past about erementar gerad being 7 stories but right now she is no longer thinking likes this. Red series might be a individual but blue one like is going in a different way and seems to warp more things (or it seems in the 6 volumes that have been already published) so there will be less that 7 series maybe even just this 2 ones. But yeah I would love a proper anime adaptation of this.
