  • Truthfully, vocally they were better suited for doo-wop than pop, especially with Valli's falsetto. This was awesome!!!

  • Terry Lee plays this on his Music For Young Lovers show...you can listen to him live on the Internet now, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday evenings from 8-Midnight. Google "Official Terry Lee site" and click on the TL's Live Feed icon on the left. He plays Music For Young Lovers from 10-Midnight

  • One of their best tunes, IMO, and never gets airtime.

  • It was the B side of Ain't That A Shame.

  • WONDERFUL!!!! The best band ever! = )

  • My two fav doo-wop tunes: This one and another b-side---Gee, How I Wish You Were Here by Curtis Lee, the flip side of Pretty Little Angel Eyes. Under the right circumstances, and if they were released at the right time, either or both coulda, shoulda, and probably woulda made the billboard top ten. Great tune!

  • I have to agree with you. I'm pretty sure I posted Gee at some point

  • Awhhh. I loved this song. Ranks right up there with Connie O as two of my fav Seasons' slow songs. Thanks for sharing.

  • IMHO, The all-time BEST--EVER-- by The Fabulous 4 Seasons; & I know--I was there, " back in the day". Wolfsky9, 64 y/o

  • Oh, do I love this all-time hidden classic from the guys who knew how to do it! This is singing like we'll never--ever--hear again. GBY, Tommy, Nick, Bob & Frankie. Wolfsky9

  • I have this on their album " Golden Hit's ", I believe the album came out in "63,I bought it in '64. This is a Really Good Tune. Thank's .

  • this song is from the album Ain't that a shame and 11 others and was the B side of the single Ain't that a shame/Soon (I'll Be Home Again) , Soon was charted #77 on billboard in 1963

  • I didn't realize this had any chart action. I figued that being the b-side of a relatively unknown release of theirs that this was lost in obscurity

  • Wonderful song by a very talented group ! Thank you so much for posting !

  • was this released just B4 Sherry ??

  • This came out after if I'm not mistaken

  • @lestor158 the b side to sherry was "i've cried before"

  • "Darling, I'll be home soon..."

PJ, thanks for the post! I've always loved this song!

  • You're very welcome

  • Just think! Frankie Valli had a previous career as "The Four Lovers" with another major label like RCA before he and the Four Seasons went to Vee Jay records for this release! He is still sounding great today after 50 years in the business!

  • I agree with that... His voice is well preserved

  • This is a good one!!!

Hopefully one day SOON I will have a man hittin' those high notes for me. And not under duress or from seeing how I look in the morning.

  • LOL

  • I'm in doo wop heaven! Thanks PJ!

  • You're welcome

  • Great tune with that distictive Four Seasons sound - lovely.

  • It's a nice mix
