I'm only 14 and never saw the Pirates having a winning year, but i LOVE the Pirates no matter what happens! It is tough on us, but at the end of the year, we push it all away and say "It's a brand new year". Yesturday was history and it's never coming back. Today is the present, so get the win, then tomorrow is the future and we rememeber yesturday we made history. What I mean, even we are a losing team, we should throw it all away and have a fresh new start.

A real fan stays with his team all the time. No matter whether they suck or they are great. I have never seen them have a winning season and I still love them and root for them like crazy. I guess we know who is a real fan and who isn't.

I drove from Cleveland to Three Rivers many times to see some very bad Pirates teams play in the 1980s but I always enjoyed supporting my team. Even when they trade my fave players I always come back.
