those saying pills now are great have no idea....yes it was fab then, but roll on the years and be very aware from and old (well into 40's) girl who has lost too many people - stay away from drugs, no good can come of it .xx
except you can dance all night and have a f-ing good party; yeah there is casualties; but most of us survived and we managed upto 100 pills in a long weekend - lightweight
Why is everyone sitting around and crying over the fact that "the worlds gone shit man, these tunes and drugs are gone forever!" Well noo the drugs are still there, it just takes everyone to start blasting Old Skool from there homes to get the world back in motion! So stop crying about it and do something!
@JackIsYourRipper nah, we still have the music, but the drugs are gone forever, the stuff going around nowadays is shit comparing to the good old days
@timshill beg to differ! the pills I had last night mate! Fucking hell, they were awesome! Sat up all night talking to this lass and her mam... her mams a fucking coppa as well hahaha
@JackIsYourRipper nothing like that anymore where i am, the shit the kids take these days that they call E is probably more at home in the cupboard under the sink, they dont make them with the same quality of ingredients or recipe that we got 20 years, sadly
I think the bit of wavering modulation in the piano score and those "sirens" makes it even better! I was born in 93', forgive my lack of rave/house nomenclature knowledge.
Even though I am relatively new to this hardcore/rave stuff, only about 2 years, but I have never been happier in my entire life once I started listening to this fascinating music!
40 yrs of age, 10.30 am and I'm dancing round my living room like i'm back in the dungeons......some of the best yrs of my life....thanks for the memories.
Shelley Boswells 'Gardening Club' June 1994, I went to Zante 2 days after a night at the Gardening Club. This tune was played. 'Kin 'ell. 94 was such a great year for music. Lots of fond memories.

These are the beginnings of Eurodance 1990 my dear, I am a Pole I know this kind of music is marvelous! A better Eurodance is the most since 1993 to 1995
I feel your pain. It saddens me that I wont ever be able to experience what it was like to be in a great period of history. Just once would I like to go back in time and see what people were like, have some true friends, and live life that's actually fun and enjoyable. Its a shame this world has gone to shit.
@Link3594 so true. so so true. you hear people say when they were younger, everything was better, but they dont really remember the bad stuff. yeah, when i was younger, there was some bad stuff, but i know there will never be another age like the one we lived in. friends for life, music for life, life for life. it is a shame that the world has changed, but i'll say this. all it takes is one man's idea to start a movement, then the rest follows. bring back old skool. old skool forever.
@Link3594 Life was simpler in the early 90s' especially - no internet, no mobiles,no clubcards, no usernames and passwords and not constant hassle by salespeople at every possible opportunity imaginable! However we had no iphones, social networks, mobiles, no speed cameras or even emails! Computer games were a joke too. So it's not all bad! I left school in 92 right in the middle of the UK recession, so it was hard then. The same bad crap just comes round in cycles, bit like fashions lol!
@blammo7100 I agree, I think the UK is about ready for another youth movement, because we're now in a very similar position to what we had back at the end of the 80's, when rave first started.
I think at times of hardship and austerity, people find a way of breaking free. We had rave, what will the next generation have? Can I join in is my next question!
Something will come, that will eclipse what we did, but this time we can film it and upload it here!
seems like there is to much tension in these comments. chill out everyone we all done the raves and enjoyed them in our own little way. but the end of the day it is all about tunes like this
seems like there is to much tension in these comments. chill out everyone we all experianced raves and enjoyed them in our own little way. but the end of the day it is all about tunes like this
Them where the days, but there gone now, ye had 2 of being there, we just have the memories now but fuckin' gud memories !
I wish i was starting out Dj'ing again in the early '90s when all these tunes were fresh & only coming out, cos the shit that the young generation are listening 2 these days in pure bullshit !
early rave actually started in 1700 with two petrol drums and a mad guy playing the fiddle while on LSD. true fact. well, not really, its shit. bring back old skool. bang to the beats to the beats are banging. the days of happy drug induced moments and lightsticks and poppers. i want to rewind 18 years. anyone know someone who has invented a time machine? old skool forever, even when i'm 90, i'll still be listening to these tunes. X.T.C
I actually thought your comment was great until i read the part where you say "X.T.C".................that really just shows that your a 'plastic raver'...............one of the annoying little twats that used to spend all night blowing in my ear with a whistle and panting like a shagging dog just because you'd had 'half an E"...............you havent the first fucking clue about raving.
I was there at 'finger in a matchbox' at horbury bridge when it got busted!!
@dazlia2 . seriously but Dazlia2. there is no need for so much hate. i went to rez and fantasia, and various clubs around the time, and guess what, i was not always smashed, and when i was, i certainly would not speak to the likes of you. go back to eton girl, while i , i will reminise about good music, good peole having fun, not bitter people who thought it was all about drugs. and for the record, the whistles were just a bit of fun. i did not like them myself, but it was part of the rave scene
@dazlia2 Lol, spot-on der matey!!. I remember the scene changing (for the worst imo) around 1990. people would turn up with white gloves, whistles and glo-sticks, I mean what the fuck!!!?!!! did they have any fucking idea what it was all about? did they have a clue where it all started and how much the music meant to us back in 87-88/89? Not knocking people for having a good time but fuck me it went from a vibrant underground scene to a pile of commerical bollocks all too quickly!!!
@pianoman1974 Zone in Blackpool was my usual, but I like most travelled up and down the M6 to various clubs in the north. The best bit was looking for posse's of people driving to some service station on the motorway after the clubs and pulling up and there being literally hundreds and hundreds of cars with their carboot's open pumping out some tunes. Mooching with the crowds and watching the normal folk gasp in amazement as they pop in to use the loo and the poor service station staff! :D
@NorthernGirl74 hahaha!!! no way, so funny Northern girl. sounds fantastic. so many memories, it was a different world then, we used to come back from nights out and go to texaco garage say. we would be outside for half an hour, each wondering who was going to go in ( because of the bright lights, etc), tunes bangin out, laughs, many laughs
@pianoman1974 mate - i was listening to loads of old stuff last night. look at Hyper-on experience - half stepper or disturbance. i loved this stuff and youtube has finally put some names to sounds :)
