  • "All of the magnets oppose one another. The machine has been operating for two years."

This is a complete lie. So sick of hoaxes.

  • There is an unseen power source, probably under the base.

  • if you are trying to say that this thing has run for two years exactly as it is now, without any outside power, you are lying. Flat out, no question about it, not even a good try. You should try discovering something real before you die, not faking people on yt. You know its a fake, apparently thats the best you can do. You are a joke, thats the secret people find out about you from this. Period!!!

  • If it were in a vacuum then the air friction would be negated - which is a major consideration.

And finally - I find '@n1a2t3h4a5l6i7e8' comment fascinating - 'degradation of the magnets is not proportional to the 'work' that that they do'.

  • I think 'Perpetual Motion' can still be called Perpetual Motion despite having been started by an original force - that of a hand. If the comment on the tag line is correct '2 years' - then I would consider that Perpetual - Whether you can extract energy from it to do work it quite another matter.

  • It's not free energy. If you try harnessing it to a simple task, like repeatedly lifting a weight, it'll slow down and stop in no time.

Not perpetual either, just bleeds its initial energy very slowly. It's possible it might be getting a little kick of energy from some external source, just enough to compensate for friction. Still, cool design.

  • @Marsyas2 It's not even PM, you can hear sound coming from it,

which is lost energy. That means there's a power source. And it's

CERTAINLY not any "over-unity" bullshit, that's bogus.

  • @rstevewarmorycom The power source is the magnets. It's not perpetual motion but it is powered by the magnets.

  • @TheLunchboxCharlie Magnets aren't a power source!

They only deliver back what you put into them yourself.

They are like springs, unless you stretch them, you can't

get any work out of them, and stretching them requires

that SAME amount of work. You can't get more back out

of them than you had to put in yourself.

  • @TheLunchboxCharlie I know they FEEL

like some kind of magic, but that's just a beginner's mistake

in physics. Magnets can't "power" anything. I know they FEEL

amazing, but that's not something for nothing.

  • you're an idiot. please either don't use 'perpetual motion' or go take a course in thermodynamics you oxygen thief.

  • I don't know who you are calling an idiot - but on the contrary - I think this design is the best on YouTube and I would appreciate a technical discussion of it's merits - not word slanging like yours - that just quite frankly stops intelligent people putting forward their views.

It is pretty close to Perpetual Motion and I think full credit should go to the designers and the word slangers should just keep quiet ...

  • @marvinn42

if it outlives one generation, its PM to me.

  • I think even though it can't be considered perpetual motion because magnets wear out, it should be praised for what it is: a step in the right direction for harnessing free energy.

  • изглежда гениално!

  • Firstly, I too would like to see this device demonstrated on a glass, or acrylic table where the bottom could also be inspected for other power sources. Better yet, replace all the wood pieces with clear acrylic.

Secondly, I think that the term 'perpetual motion machine' should be avoided at all costs. 'IF' this device is really operating long term without the input of external energy, then this is truly a 'free energy device that could be up-scaled, and used to drive a generator.

  • @Amusedman1 If all you guys who imagine that this is

perpetual motion or free energy knew what the scientists

and engineers know about you from just that, you would

be surprised and embarrassed. It is NOT PM it is NOT

"over-unity", if it makes noise it is losing energy and will

stop very shortly, if it does not it means the author is

deceiving you with a hidden power source, and it means

that you're confused idiots gabbling about nothing real.

  • but will it blend?

  • WOW GRATE BUT WILL IT DRIVE A GENERATOR?

  • Great machine & good work.

  • Eventually it will slowly stop working "with years" "if this device is real" due to the internal magnetic stresses.

  • @n1a2t3h4a5l6i7e8

In good magnets, like neodymiums that can take a long time, even a hundred years from what I have heard. The degradation is not proportional to the work the magnet is doing nor the energy used to magnetize it....

  • @n1a2t3h4a5l6i7e8 No. Without a battery it will stop in seconds

or at most a minute or so. There are million dollar prizes to be won

for this kind of "invention" and all that have tried have been shown

to be a fraud or their "inventor" simply made a ridiculous mistake

in understanding. This is for the same reason that The Amazing

Randi has never had to pay the prize he offers for real supernatural

    phenomena, there aren't any.

  • Would have been superb made in brass with decorative victorian style parts. very H.G.Wells time machine.

  • does it still go?

  • I think it's rather sexy and in fact, when time permits, I shall put on my diaper and pleasure myself to the soothing sounds of this mechanism. And god bless Tiny Tim.

  • Comment removed

  • All that sound is called friction. The machine has not been running for two years.

  • If there is sound, there is energy loss. Fake.

  • ..... Magnets does NOT wear out because of the work they do, but some forms of use can be more damaging than others.

Neodymium magnets for example, have a REALLY long life time, and can handle much more hardship than other magnets (it is brittle though).

And the energy needed to make a magnet will in no way correspond to the energy made by the magnet's work.

This is always such a typical solution for those who want to explain something they cannot understand...

  • @Nabo00o, magnets do wear out specially on devices like these ones, because of the internal "magnetic" stressed forces of attraction/repulsion done over and over again. This seems to happen as well on DC magnet motors.

  • That sledge hammer is preserving alot of energy the longer it is. And can go for years I belive before it will run out.

It is the same stuff that norwegian guy did with his metal ball that goes around in circle. Its just a hole lot of enery stored in long rods that swings.

The one for the norwegian guy went going for more than7 years. and one day it just suddenly stopped..

So he crancked it up again- and since that is has been going from what Ive heard.

  • Very nice craftsmanship. Do you run it on external power or internal batteries? I assume the drive clockwork underneath is purely electronic, not mechanical. But I guess with all that visible movement, sound from a mechanical clock mechanism would be masked.

  • it has pulse battery-electromagnet under wood base...kiks bottom magnet to keep swinging bak nd forth...i dont believe this real ou...

  • only if the laws of our universe are eternal can a perpetual motion machine exist.

  • I'm sure Mr. Delk has a few more exotic contraptions up his sleeve by now. This demonstrator is a curiosity for the curious...yet a symposium for the serious.

For the serious researcher, a good start would be to ascertain the amount of energy required to necessitate the unbalanced condition of the levered magnetic arrangements. Obviously, the energy required to initiate the imbalance, causing the drive magnets to fall, thereby pushing the pendulum, is small indeed. And that's a big lever!

  • It can't possibly be perpetual because it's releasing energy from the system in the form of sound. For that reason alone, it'll wear out.

  • Whether it's real or Memorex, it's a nice looking contraption that intrigues the mind if nothing else.

  • This machine looks great. How about hooking up a small generator and seeing if

it can generate electricity that could be used outside the machine.

  • i don't care this includes magnets or not, it's potential to green energy ... that's all the matter

  • George, Another vid would be great. How is the new version coming along?

    Thank you!

  • I believe it to be a nice fake. I think that the black support bars on either side of the frame are wired to an electrical outlet..... like electro magnetic coils that attract the hammer and the other devices are just part of the illusion..... they do nothing to keep it going.

  • So you made something that has the annoying sounds of a clock.. but doesn't tell time.

Well I guess if you wanted you could figure it up..

  • haha!!!

  • im slightly confused. correct me if im wrong, but it appears that the purpose of the two smaller hammer looking objects serve only to raise and lower the magnetic plates near the base of the larger hammer. they do not serve to create any propulsion to the motion of the machine (or negligable propulsion atleast). could the machine not function if the two plates on the bottom were stationary at the location necessary, thereby eliminating the need for their movement at all?

  • @ScrippsRanchDC

The pendulum would be prematurely "pushed" if the guillotine magnet was in the lower position as the pendulum swings toward it. The magnet is lifted up and out of range to allow the pendulum to swing in it's direction...as it arrives the magnet is dropped down and pushes it away. Makes me scratch my head LOL

  • Very cool machine!!!!!!!!!

  • Whatever it is, absolutely fascinating! Thank you for making this video.

  • Where did you get the brass rings on the copper tube? What is the very top ball?

  • If it is producing sound, it is producing energy, this sound can be converted to electricity

  • I freely use the word perpetual motion and if I had a magnetic car engine that ran for 300yrs before the magnets stop working and I drove that car until I was 85 I will call that a perpetual motion engine even if that term is incorrect because nothing will last forever, even our planet & sun will cease to function someday so perhaps the word semi-perpetual motion would be a more accurate term.

  • A great work of art, but it needs to be replicated to validate the perpetual motion claim.

  • hey was the air sucked out of that to remove air resistance?

  • if there was no air, there would be no sound.

  • As well as the case would inpload.

  • @RHEAD100 If there was no air there would still be friction.

  • sounds like a clock

  • I tried to improve on this first attemt, but have not succeeded to make a working copy despite of strong magnets and a better raising of the side magnets. I am but an avarage tinkerer. So... how about your efforts? Maybe we need your skillful contribution...

  • I have replicated it, but could not prove it working without a cheater magnet... George, are you for real or am I in illusion?

    See watch?v=u0r5MYHcHQ4

Sorry for calling you Elk in stead of Delk in my video.

  • Very nice job. I especially like the pivoting side magnets. Possibly weight above the pivot point of the pendulum is needed. The design that I am now working on uses very small neodymium magnets and extremely lightweight materials. They do take considerable time to built and adjust.

  • Yes if your thing is real, - and is seems so, for you continue developing the pendulum and you reply -, certainly my magnets are not suffient. Too much weight for too little force. So I intend to buy some neodymium material, and try again. But I'm not quite sure what the best solution would be. Do you continue with your side 'quillotine system', or do you plan for something like I did, let's say the 'silent version'? Adding weight above the pivot is a good point... i'll try it...

  • Dear Delk, If it ran for two years as you claim, why not make a film showing your machine from all sides, beneath, behind, etc. and add your spoken comments. Since we also can not receive a real proof from Finsrud himself, doubt is present; even with: analyzing Finsrud. See: watch?v=E9GucVwc36Q but thanks for trying.

  • George how about a repy to 123sakhya's Request for a more revealing vidio?

  • @gdelk123 please post a new video showing more details

  • @gdelk123

re "magnets eventually wear out": 400 hundred years or thereabout they say. how anyone has proven that begs the question, how?

  • You dont think it is driven by the magnets? If it get one person thinking about how it works, it has to be considered a success. I for one am 99% sure its a fake. Without a look at the base or inner workings there is no way to know. I do believe it will stimulate someone to try to replicate and maybe build a real working model. Some of it has merit while most is just dressing. Thanks George for the boost. I am not working on a replication, but it gave me some ideas to work on.

  • It is just a case of the tail wagging the dog.

  • There are two ways for a magnet to wear out its properties

First if you force opposite poles to contact permanently and very close

Second : after long use f. i. neodynium magnets last about 100 years or even more and can be very very strong and last their magnetic abilities very constantly over long periods of time

  • By the way

    very nice video !!

And in my opinion you should call that free energy - it comes not from the magnets, the magnets are just "gates" or channels to make use of it

Free energy doesn´t mean to appear out of nothing - it is an efficient and constructive way to make use of natural potentials that are all around of us

and there is no "perpetual" motion in a universe that will eventually itself will vanish one day

  • I know that the process for the acceleration of the pendulum IS the most difficult task. Therefore I've decided to use more a pushing-power onto the pendulum, instead of a sliding one. like my video shows, you see a long distance between the repeling magnets. when i just slide the magnets downwards, there will be a big friction in the guide column and I do see there a loss of power.

I'll continue the work on weekend. next update will be sunday or monday (nicght in germany).

    mike

  • Mikeenuocao, What is your replication status? Tue. 1/19/10 Interested.

  • i'm working on it, but i've some interrupts because of

1.) moving to new appartement (finnish feb. 1)

2.) my wive has 2 brains now :)

    3. i still have to work 7 days/week each 13hrs to survive :((

    but I'm still on it

  • I#ve started to build the pecking birds, but the first try was not so successfull.

  • Congradulations man!!

  • It requires the magnets.

  • The video was posted over one month ago.

  • I will try to replicate this. I was looking for this for a long time. An easy finsrud with just one pendulum. A doable thing so to see. Replication decides whether it is of any value.....

  • Hey this is pretty neat! One question.

    Who is Timex.....

  • Looks good except those black things toward the bottom between the legs. You use wood and brass for the whole thing except those things which is where the magnets on the hammer pass each time. And if it was secretly powered that's where you'd expect a coil.

Looks like wound wire covered in black tape. Not saying it is but that's just what it looks like.

  • Can I buy one?

  • Philosophy wise i have to give it a bit of credit, but would it help mankind solve earthly problems, that makes me wonder.

  • @dan020350

Me tto and you know what? If that is all it does is make mankind wonder and get out of this sheeple dream state, that would be the greatest gift anyone could ever give.

Free energy devices work but hey use acceleration to convert mass into atomic energy (most of them anyway) and they don't violate thermodynamics. Problem is, people are too programmed. Search EV Gray notice the silver wire? Silver flings the electrons off the coil since they travel in a straight line on silver.

  • so its called Ev gray, i seen those videos already :) I tried so hard , nicely, for someone who claims has an over unity machine to post a video of powering whatever household appliances or people he actually know, so i can meet them. But he failed on both account :(

  • A person would be a fool to demonstrate it since the government uses what are called military marching orders to take it away here in the US. The patent system is corrupted to prevent you from going forth with it - they use section 35 part 181 gag orders to silence you and take your stuff.

What a person can do is what I just did and point out how they work and why. The rest is up to you.

It is all about using acceleration to cause electron cascade and mass to atomic energy contained in mass=FE

  • Are you saying by pointing out how it works and why it works, makes one see* or becoming wise? Isn't he is much of a fool then the state before? Or is it depends on what is he pointing ?

  • @gdelk123

is it allowed to replicate this design?

  • OMG... just do it .. so if your not a perfect example that shows how far we allready programmed.... why in the world do u ask something like this???

  • iÄve allready started to build a replication. i allways ask before i copy someones idea, just for beeing friendly.

  • sry.. didnt want to be unfriendly :)... cool if u replicate it.. please let me know ur results

    greez

  • it was not unfriendly at all.

menwhile i have the swinging pendulum allready mounted in a frame. pictures will be shown asap in overunity(dot)com or (dot)de

  • I looks like a perfect closed circle. A system that is enclosed in itself! I'll try to replicate it to see if it could be real.

  • @SOPM2007 thanks, tells us about it :|)

  • what would surprise me most is that it would neither speed up or slow down

  • Hi GDELK123, has your setup still been working since December 5 you uploaded this video?

Or you could not bear the perpetual noise and disassembled it? I hope not... lol

Happy New Year and hope you still have it and may shoot further video on it.

    Thanks, Gyula

  • gdelk123

Very impressive. Am I correct to say there are no hiden pulse coils or external power for this device?

    Bill

  • gdelk123 I find you have done an excellent job. Have you tried to put a load on it, or is it pressed to run itself? Either way it still has a market for an office toy if nothing else.

  • How about placing a small generator coil in there and a cap to light an LED?

  • what are the two plates they go up and down? Magnets ???

  • There are magnets atttached to the plates.

  • Ok very nice well-built 100*s. But! Friction is high coil in base. Please I wont to be proven wrong, do video work round especially underneath. If any panel please remove it before videoing. I would also like to see behind that wooden board it. Place on glass table in the garden then video please. Any what ever well done.

  • Look at the very top of the pendulum do I see a small magnetic ball.

  • what difference would 1 more magnet make?

  • gute Idee,5 Sterne *****

  • Is there a Web-Address with more Videos and Explanations ?.

  • Sorry,

There is not at this time. I'm working on it.

    Thanks,
