you are so right man dad was 74 years olds and im only 22 i see the same thing with my sisters kids they curse out the police she go to jail and the kids do the same thing smart mouth i slap my nephew in the mouth the other day for talking while grown people talking and some parents dont understand you dont have to say anything to a kid get you a look let a kid ask me why im a old man child rised by him and his friends respect your elders i caught my niece throwing rocks a old man i beat her ass
holy shit! i was terrorfied when i heard my dad hit his car alarm no lets go back further.. when i know the sound and pitch his keys make in the key pan thats when your scared of someone! i was scared of my dad.. 7:30
Bottom line, age does not determine a respect thing, kids these days act on their own, i have had friends raised with the upmost respect upbringing and they themselves have the worst life i've ever seen. Kids these days grow up alot faster and react on their own, I'm a young adult, i have respect for elders but i don't care what authority someone has, no one will disrespect me in life, and if they do - karmas a bitch.
people these days, they like to abuse their rights that were given to them or talk down to younger people because they have "been around the block" a few times... It doesn't matter your age, knowledge is knowledge, if you know something don't down talk me because i'm younger. Hey i'm 16 yearsold, i listen to rap/dubstep and those genre of music - I'm a responsible, reliable, and very respectable person, but i grew up faster than most and was forced to act more grown than what i am, i respect people if they respect me. I don't care if it is a teacher, police officer, elder, whoever... The moment you disrespect me, is the moment that i lose respect for you. Adults or people with authority in general these days really over step their boundaries with younger (continued)

hmm lets see im 15 every morning i wake up make my bed take a sho0wer i do 5 miles on a bike i treat everyone i meet with respect police offcers included (i want to become one) i live with my gradparents because my dad is a dedicated crack/meth attic on the week ends i hike camp shoot do run and guns go rides quads etc and honetsly im tierd of hearing how kids these days are disrespectful and lazy i dont even have a tv in my room
Teenagers have ego and higher level of entertainment needs than most adults. Most parents these days can not adapt to the teenagers way of life because they never had communications like Facebook, and text messaging, which means they really don't know what the kids are doing behind their backs. Kids are also unintentionally training their minds by insulting people on YouTube and online multiplayer videogames because their protected by anonymity. BOTTOMLINE: TECHNOLOGY HAS SEVERE DISADVANTAGES!!!
Get the Paddle Out! I already told you how i feel about your views on this. Get caught with drugs around here the cop will probably stash it for himself and smoke it with his kids at home. LOL Anyway dude, I made a comment on your 1911 vid and seeing your dad I know you can be a monster like him too because both of you got the perfect body-type for weight training and you can do that shit at home with just a bar. Look up stronglifts 5x5. Keep them awesome vids coming.
Back in the good ole days of the 40s, 50, 60s there was something called correcting your child's mistake, which included hands, belts, or some other things until they got their attitude squared away, and it worked... now its called child abuse, which i think is BS.. if your child has problems you don't need to see a doctor or a pharmacist you need to get a belt, and find things for them to do, that will square their ass away in a real fucking hurry... love the rants man keep em comming.
I agree with some of your points, but others I don't quite agree with. As far as interrupting an adult, I agree its important for kids to have manners. But a child should never be worried about freely speaking to their parent. See you have to walk a fine line with children, they need to respect you but also trust you and feel comfortable talking to adults. You have to keep lines of communication open if you don't want kids to end up on drugs.
you missed a very important point which is the music the kids listen to these days. all that rap crap cussing, no respect etc. kids hear that and think its cool or there a little bad ass if they act that way. im 16 when i was young i got spanked or the belt when i was bad thats how it should be. another thing people with picture perfect kids probably were babied, guys turned into sissys never shot a gun never used a knife never fished etc. you expect a kid thats raised like baby to act out? no.
I remember when I was a kid and got a super nintendo for christmas, I was allowed to play it for three hours a week, and I could choose how I would spend them. Or when I was sick, I wasn't allowed to do anything that was considered fun.
Today? "Play so much call of duty as you want", "Awwh, do you have a tiny bit of fever? Watch a movie and I go buy some candy for you".
My brother is a police sgt. and I've seen so many times, kids that call him a violent abuser, spit on him and stuff like that.
There is an old Arabic saying that says: Play with them for 7, Be strict with them for 7 and Be their friend for 7 and let them have their own lives. The meaning of this is to play with your kids until he is 7 years old, Be strict to them until they are 14 and then treat them as a friend and an adult for the rest of his life :)
I agree with you Paul. Kids changed because back in the 70s & 80s teachers were allowed to hit students. Nowadays that is illegal and even if a student does a very bad thing, he doesn't get punished like the way it was 25 years ago :)
You are very right in everything you say . I'm not american ,but this is a problem allso in Europe . This wasan't a problem 20 years ago , we ware under a comunist dictatorship but we had strong vallues ,but now thanks to globalization and great coca-cola and mc 'donallds culture everything turned to shit .
just want you to think about this. when you look at a "kid" dont judge and expect them to be like all the other ones, im 18. I havent even graduated High school yet, I joined the Army National Guard. My unit is scheduled to deploy in late 2012, im sure ill be going. I'll be attending college to acquire a degree in criminal justice to become State police officer, and go from there. Im not trying to..gloat..or brag...or any other type of boasting. Im just saying dont judge.
Im a kid. Kids are rebellious now because parents like yours, didnt have any respect for there kids. Didn't let them have an opinion. Still no one listens to what we have to say. So we simply say "i don't care". In other words lose repect.
I love you man, you speak 100% truth. In england, we have a very popular program called: Teenage pregnancy or something... (never actually watched it =P) but basically talking about how girls wanted a little baby and some of the girls are 15/16.. todays society is backwards. "kids having kids". Parents need to give their kids the tough love they need and stop backing down. I have always and will always love you're rant videos. Please keep them coming.
It's not just a problem in the USA, think the entire West is having the same problem. Everybody cuddles their children to death instead of teaching them values, teaching them to take responsability, teaching them to work to get somewhere in life. But they don't just fuck up their own children, they also judge the people who do take the education of their children seriously as if they are childmolestors or something, hell I even get comments when I verbally disciplin my dog for not listening!
good rant, i agree with everything you said. However in the same respect i hate you because i dont like the color of your curtains, your so unsubbed, get some new curtains and review them
Teenagers all have the right to pursue happiness in life, but most of them don't pay attention too the really little things, like how many lives they've disrespected and damaged just slightly, to make themselves happy and others treated unequal and not their responsibility.
Outstanding video its about time someone stopped beating around the bush and addressed this problem. In my opinion, there is no "perfect" way of raising kids, but rather a "better" way to go about it, and you sir nailed it right on the head.
Good rant. I agree with every word. We need to return to those "old-time" values. The world would be a better place. Keep up the videos, they are right on.
Halfway in the vid he is talkin bout men having no bsckbone. I'm sitting here thinking....men cant Have a backbone. In our country got all the bs laws. U raise your voice at a wife or kid...bam that's verbal abuse the problem is in this country your fucked from the start and the. Majority knows it so they don't give a shit
A men brother! I'm a school teacher goin on my 5th year and I notice the kids with behavior issues have parents who are not involved or just don't care. I really think it's too bad us teachers can't really do anything about it or we would lose our jobs.
I agree with 98% of what you are saying. Kids need to have respect for their parents, authority figures, and just random people in general. I was raised to treat people the way i want to be treated, but to not let people walk over me, and to stick up for myself. Disciplining your child doesn't mean you have to get physical with them. When i got smacked for doing something wrong my parents shortly found out that that wasn't working. So they took away the stuff i liked to do. Then i stopped.
I agree with 98% of your statements. But, what you do at home is only a small part of the equation. The second part of it is, at school. So many young kids go off and get pregnant, and do drugs. Kids do drugs from peer pressure most of the time. So the second part is making sure you know who they are hanging around with.
I am 17 going to be 18 at the end of the year, and I agree with about 98% of you statements. I was raised by my parents to treat people with respect, and to treat other the way i wanted to be treated. I live by that. What you do inside of your house as a parent is only one step to making your children grow up to be real adults. The second part is knowing who they hang with, most kids who do drugs (the illegal kind) start doing them from peer pressure from their friends.

Teenagers like simplicity, entertainment, and ego, it's written in their DNA! Watching MTV and listening to Rap Music hinders their second nature ability to be a respectful person with Morals and ETC. Most American teens like sticking gum under desks in school because it's simpler than throwing it in the trash. Their obviously not long term thinkers either!
TRUST ME I'M 17 YEARS OLD AND LIVE IN LAS VEGAS, I WOULD KNOW!
i agree i M 16 YEARS old and im not going to lie , i hate going to school but i do not show my teachers disrespect and i think that all these little kids thatdo are little dicks and i totaly agree with every thing you just said
amen to that! i agree on about everything you say here man. even though i just turned 20, i was raised right, dad wore the pants and he had the final word. he even had that stare that you mentioned.
currently serving my year of mandatory military duty, i'm shocked that some guys here talk back to officers and curse them out.
last time i was home on leave i saw a grouo of kids, probably around 10. skating through the park in the city cursing and flipping of everybody. even at the church steps
Hey man I've been a subscriber for close to a year now if not longer, love the gun reviews, but this hit the nail on the head! "COMMON SENSE" seems to be something that has evidently been removed from most Americans! It's almost like they're scared of anything "LOGICAL" they hear you say it and they run screaming in the opposite direction!! It's sad to say but the term "IGNORANCE IS BLISS" really seems to stand true for too many people these days!!!
100% agreed H4T! watch?v=oS8ptK-yyrA definitely going to punish my kids like this, if anyone doesn't agree then you're probably a liberal piece of shit that spoils their kids and lets him do whatever the fuck they want (PS Im actually a white guy, my username is a joke making fun of those black power idiots) I think this man is a hero for disciplining his child while other just call it abuse! And if I was her dad she would've had it worse!
@KillTheCrackers90 There is a line between punishing your children and beating them with a belt, that is pretty much torture. Before we go on, i want to get out their that i am not a Liberal, and that i am almost 18, my family and i own lots of firearms.
Whoever said that punishing your children means you have to strike them with something (hand, belt, etc....). Kids like to do fun things like computer, TV, Xbox, PS3 etc.....
H4T, this is the first video I've watched from you, I'm 15 and I agree with pretty much everything in this video! I'm not AMAZING in school I won't lie, I struggle in math. And I hear it when I get home. But I agree 100% that you should discipline you kids, sadly there is a thin line between abuse and discipline. I'm joining the military at 18, hunt, and play video games. I consider myself a pretty normal kid. One of the bigger problems I see is how fast kids are growing up today.-Cya
alot of it has to do with the fact that the fathers from my generation (21-28) dont wanna grow the fuck up they wanna stay acting like there fuckin teens them selfs
i believe its from previous generations what on tolerates another embraces things indeed have gotten worse and if you really want to look at it it has all gone down hill since the fifties
At 9:00 Holy Cow!!! He looks better than most 20 &30 year old bodybuilders. His arms have to be 19 inches at least!!! He's not roided up like most young punks nowadays.
At 9:00 Holy SH*T He looks better than most 20 &30 year old bodybuilders. His arms have to be 19 inches at least!!! He's not roided up like most young punks nowadays.

From what your saying it sounds like the problem is more with fathers than with their kids. For instance if you have a father that beats the shit out of you, you won't respect him. But if you have a father that treats you with respect and treats you as if your friends but also reprimands you when do wrong.
@humans4targets2 Hey Paulif you wanna know why every generation gets worse is because the united states government suspended the parents right to descipline their child thats why and i think its stupid.
I'm 14 years old and i completely agree with you sir. I was and am still being raised this way. When I see somebody my age and they do some stupid nonsense I just want to put them in their place. People my age need to respect adults and understand why. I'd love to continue but there aren't enough characters on youtube for me to complete my story. Great video and Sub.

I didn't have time to watch all of this before work, but as a 22 year old, I agree with you man.
I can only recall one time my dad ever hit me, and while I was a stupid bitter kid at the time, hind sight shows I was being a little shit and I deserved it.
I shudder at what I would be if my parents were the 'I don't give a shit' kind. I know people with those parents, and how they have turned out...
I'll watch the rest of this video later, rock on Paul.
Just look at the mentality of little girls today. They religiously worship the concept of building social-networks on their cell-phones, they consider "texting" to be the domain of goddess'es, they believe that "twittering" is an intellectual exercise and they all love feminized and bi-sexual little Justin Bieber type boys who are little more than passive, male versions of themselves. They idolize "Snookie" and embody the concept of complete, metro-sexual insanity. Man, your dad is a BEAST! =D
agreed, im 14, and i show respect towards adults that are more strict. and the meds are just shit, i swear im just going to get diabetes if i keep taking my meds!
i know this might sound weird, but im a 14 year old kid from va, i agree with u 100%, i show respect towards adults that that dont allow kids to do what ever they want. for example one of my teachers, has no backbone, ive seen throw a football around in that class, where if u put them one of my other classes, they will actually get something done. what i want to talk to all of u the most is the meds. i do take meds for bipolar or something. what is the one it does? giving me diabetes!

Great video, this country was founded and built by God fearing men and women. Now that we are so PC and taking God out of the way we live-reap what we sow!
wow! where was this video when i had to write my psych paper on what is wrong with kids today?! as i said before, i don't agree with everything, but it's called an opinion for a reason. i could write you a 20 page paper explaining my opinion and why some of your ideas are a bit skewed, but that's just painful for the both of us. now, getting to the point, i like the idea of the rant vid because it provides a great base for conversation and opinion. AS LONG AS EVERYONE REMAINS RESPECTFUL! thanks!
i agree 110% percent with you, im pretty young im 21 BUT i was raised old school my parents are old school strict mexican parents lol and they would check me quick!
I agree 100% with you! I was raised in the same manner as you and am now raising my kids in the same manner. My wife says the kids fear me...GOOD! Don't get me wrong I don't abuse or beat my kids but all I have to do is give a stern look and they know. Things started changing when the Liberals started taking over with their laws and BS agendas.
By the way your dad looks awesome for 73! I hope I look half as good as his age.
@lockpicker2k man i agree with you 100% now if your kids are scared you the "society" automatically assumes you abuse them its sad when we say our kids fears we mean they know who is adult and who is child. everyone else thinks automatically we abuse them.
I agree with you 100% also I believe society, in the process of making woman equal, have desecrated the value of men and what it is to be a man. We turn men into shadow of themselves ridiculed by popular media and hence by woman in society. Remember male only social club what happened to those. Woman can have woman only social clubs and no man would think twice of joining that yet when men want a man only club it's a issue.
My old man used to be a man. But, then he started to doubt himself, when my brother f**ked up and got arrested, and then my sister quit her job, and got into a slump. Now everyone just walks over him and he has aged poorly these last few years. The word NO, and the phrase enough is enough has disappeared from his vocabulary. I still love him, but he's not the same man he once was. What it is, is that you can't keep thinking in the past. Furthermore, a man has to have integrity.
I appreciate your videos; however I must respectfully question the value of your opinion on parenting. You are single male without children. Your views of adult males playing video games is a regurgitation of a recent Opinion piece on Fox News. Also, you spend a large amount of time and money on your weapons. Is that really any better for an adult man as opposed to video games? As long as you take care of your responsibilities, what does it matter what you do with your time? Thanks.
areed. i like your channel and respect your opinions, but this video is a little on the edge for me. i agree with about 65% of your opinions stated in this video. Thanks for the Vid!
around 25 minutes in you were talking about kids doing things to adults and saying that they will call the police if they get hit, reminded me of when my brother was little. my brother would kick people in the leg (he was about 4), the first thing my grandpa did was kick him back... to this day my brother has never kicked anyone since. just sayin
Well man your right on with this rant.....I talk to dudes at my job all the time that say "gotta ask the boss" or " the wife aint happy..." like they got their balls so deep in that purse they arent even a man anymore. My six year old girl is extremely well behaved and people often remark about it and I just tell them with kids its all about respect. I teach my girl to respect herself and others and its not too complicated of a process. Whats wrong with people?
h4t u are so on point i mean eotech aimpoint im talking this was awsome man u said so many things ive been thinking for years an i was raised in a hosehold where my dada was the end all to be all and i went to a counntry school in rural north alabama where the school was k-12 and i got paddlings there up untill 12 grade and they ofcoarse would get gradually harder paddlings usally started around 7 years old thats when i got my first and then got my ass beat when i got home and im 27 great vid
when i went to Catholic school and them nuns would rip your hair out and i aint even kidding!! and it kept the word respect alive trust me lol your pop looks great Paul.
time outs are a joke and the kids know it ! nothing wrong with and ass kickin thats what works. i dont argue with my kids i just give them the ass beating look! lol
ITS THE NEW GENERATION OF THE PARENTS! you have miniature people raising children, and they dont believe in strong discipline. these kids need there asses kick!! theres your answer! good video, my dad was a brick layer also
Don't forget the losers that have no respect for women, then the "man" beats the wife/girlfriend in front of the children (young boys), therefore they have NO RESPECT for women. It works all ways. Unfortunately, there's a lot of people having children that have no business reproducing!
I know exactly what you mean darn kids have no respect dads grew up and made their kids work for stuff and they respected their parent kids now adays have everything
I agree with you on the way kids are being raised now of days, I have a daughter that is 9 months old and I plan on raising her the way my mom raised me. If I talked back to my mom she would have got a belt and whooped me, and I plan on doing the same thing. Respect was the main thing with my mom and 99.9% of kids I run into do not have that attribute and to me that is the main problem with the new generation of kids these days!!! Discipline is not a crime, abuse is! Once people realize this the
I'm all for kids respecting their parents and other adults, but when they are taught to worship and respect police officers, politicians and authorities, it's gonna make the next generation easier to be controlled by this ever growing and giant authoritarian government. We already live in a police state because people worship authority. There is a thin line between common respect, and blind obediance. I discourage blind obediance towards gov't, police. The parent should be the only authority.
from what i have grown up with and seen in my friends growing up is that parents have to do juggling acts. they have to teach their children right from wrong (in the parents mind) and give them as much a sense of the world they can in the safe confines of their house i would have to say that even when you grew up did you not find kids that did not respect their elders? isn't it harder for these generations parents to raise a child and keep stable employment so their children can eat?
if I said anything back to my dad when he asked me do sumthin...I would be shitting sideways, and ya i went to my friends house playing games and stuff and the way they talk to there parents, im just astonished by they say like shut up or hell no and im like O.O...if i said shut up to my dad i would be in a grave...so ya kids have respect for your elders.
LOL YOU ARE EXACTLY LIKE MY DAD...if he asked me anything, anything at all and if i talked back or said NO....i would be shitting side ways, I see all my freinds talking back to there parents when im at there house playing games and there saying shut up or hell no or why dont you do it, and my face is just like O.O...and this whipping belt going to prison crap is bs if you dont behave ya you deserve to be whipped...would i get my dad arrested for whipping me,no caues I no i deserved it.
I used to live in a strict household when my father and mother were still together. Let me tell you, I'm glad that it was that way. It made me the man I am today. I feel like I'm the last of a dying breed of stand up guys. My father was in the military and demanded respect from me. I was taught to respect others no matter what. Even though I resented that when I was little, I love the way I turned out and I love my father.
I disagree with you 100%, the issue is not with the children or their lack of respect. Your argument is too subjective and subject to fallacies. The problem people who aren't fit to be parents. Corporal punishment only does harm to the relationship between parent and child. Fear is not a family value, love is and love doesn't cause you to hurt people. I'll contact you with my argument as to how to raise children in a couple days.
Very true. Ya know my dad is a very serious man and he would lecture and discipline the crap outta me whenever I did something wrong. All the way through school I never once insulted a teacher or another student (only joked) because he taught me respect and gave me morals. I mean I hated him for punishing me so hard and he only ever went too far once but I know why he did it. I'm not saying you should run your kid like a drill sargeant but find a balance and discipline your kid when you have to.
I think the internet can be a good thing to some teens, they can come across your rants and learn something new. Course, there are bad things on the internet.
Way to be my brother.

My brother is a police sgt. and I've seen so many times, kids that call him a violent abuser, spit on him and stuff like that.
willda78 3 months ago
There is an old Arabic saying that says: Play with them for 7, Be strict with them for 7 and Be their friend for 7 and let them have their own lives. The meaning of this is to play with your kids until he is 7 years old, Be strict to them until they are 14 and then treat them as a friend and an adult for the rest of his life :)
mohdzo95 3 months ago
I agree with you Paul. Kids changed because back in the 70s & 80s teachers were allowed to hit students. Nowadays that is illegal and even if a student does a very bad thing, he doesn't get punished like the way it was 25 years ago :)

Teenagers all have the right to pursue happiness in life, but most of them don't pay attention too the really little things, like how many lives they've disrespected and damaged just slightly, to make themselves happy and others treated unequal and not their responsibility.

32edizzle 3 months ago
I agree with 98% of what you are saying. Kids need to have respect for their parents, authority figures, and just random people in general. I was raised to treat people the way i want to be treated, but to not let people walk over me, and to stick up for myself. Disciplining your child doesn't mean you have to get physical with them. When i got smacked for doing something wrong my parents shortly found out that that wasn't working. So they took away the stuff i liked to do. Then i stopped.
HecklerandKochdude 3 months ago
I agree with 98% of your statements. But, what you do at home is only a small part of the equation. The second part of it is, at school. So many young kids go off and get pregnant, and do drugs. Kids do drugs from peer pressure most of the time. So the second part is making sure you know who they are hanging around with.
HecklerandKochdude 3 months ago

KillTheCrackers90 3 months ago

From what your saying it sounds like the problem is more with fathers than with their kids. For instance if you have a father that beats the shit out of you, you won't respect him. =D

Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish them with the rod, they will not die.

Take care.
beexsama 4 months ago
I appreciate your videos; however I must respectfully question the value of your opinion on parenting. You are single male without children. Your views of adult males playing video games is a regurgitation of a recent Opinion piece on Fox News. Also, you spend a large amount of time and money on your weapons. Is that really any better for an adult man as opposed to video games? As long as you take care of your responsibilities, what does it matter what you do with your time? Thanks.

Great video. Remember, the trouble with common sense is that it isn't that common.

Don't forget the losers that have no respect for women, then the "man" beats the wife/girlfriend in front of the children (young boys), therefore they have NO RESPECT for women. It works all ways. Unfortunately, there's a lot of people having children that have no business reproducing!
