Saw him at SDSU when I was in college...liked him before, and liked him more after. The good ones always go too soon. Still listen to him at least once a week. His music is timeless, and always takes me back. Thanks Chris
As evidence that damn good music knows no political affiliation, I am a liberal who grew up on the mid-Atlantic coast, far away from the western plains. I think Chris LeDoux is one of the best singer/songwriters I've ever heard. This song is one of my top 5 favorites of all time.
The more I listen to some of the new country singers, the more i realize they need to stop and listen to Chris some more, there is a reason so many of the current "greats" are as great as they are, look who they had guiding them along, people like Chris.
I respect their individuality and trying to be different and new, but don't forget to stay country.
@MrBackwoodsNC You can't make everyone happy, I think some people just press the thumbs down to get a reaction, in any event people who appreciate good country music love Chris, he left us way too soon. Regards, 85......
I will miss you my friend..... even though I never actually met you... you speak to my soul with every song........ RIP....... God Loves your music more than we do, and that's why he took you from us way too soon......
I live about 90 miles from Kaycee, Wyoming. I make every Chris Ledoux memorial and tribute I possibly can. This man was an inspiration. He spoke and still does speak to all of the cowboys and cowgirls out there. Ride on cowboy!
IF YOU HAVE STARTED READING THIS YOU WILL KISS YOUR TRUE LOVE FRIDAY. HOWEVER, YOU DO HAVE TO POST THIS ON 5 VIDEOS IN 626 MINUTES! GET STARTED! IF YOU DON'T YOU WILL DIE!
pretty song thanks to a beautiful woman i'll never forget!!!thanks Angela Lynn, yes im achin to hold you,and the fall im thinkin about is done happened.LOVE YOU REBEL WOMAN
I know there are vallys in Heaven filled with bucking horses, camp fires, and acoustic guitars. Thats where Chris is, with the rest of the great cowboys probably singing to Will Rogers right now. We miss you Chris.
I had the pleasure of meeting Chris many times.. all 3 of my kids went to see him for their first concert....sadly I live with remembering that he passed on my birthday. God Bless Chris Ledoux
I was one lucky soul who had the pleasure of meeting Chris and his band here in AZ and an old country bar back in 93. We drank long necks to the late hours. I time not to ever forget, After that I started to follow his music and would see him in concert another 3 times, What great memories and a real Cowboy. He was the real deal and still is. RIP Chris
First time I noticed this song was when I was a teen, I just figured out I loved her. I was breaking up with her while this song was playing, ripping my own soul out. A few days later at a rodeo in Ok. one of my buddies played it again makin fun of me, I loaded up three guys, payed them back their entry fees and ran back to Kansas City, snuck up on her in domestics in walmart with a shit eatin grin on my face. She ran up and gave me a hug then pounded me good. I Still love her.
Wow I thought everyone who like Chris LeDoux music knew he past away. I actually live in Wyoming so it was extremely big news for around here. He has some great music and I don't think any of us will ever forget him.
@98hankcoewaylon So true! I don't even turn on the regular radio country stations. How the heck did the "pop country" ever get started? Shame on you, Music Row!!
@98hankcoewaylon saw him in Biloxi, MS one year. Great show. They definitely don't make them like this anymore. And country radio is way too pop nowadays.
Im goin through this to. Im scared of a real relationship cuz i want to go with the wind. Ive worked at so many ranchs all across america an canada an now the only girl that has loved me is gone and im alone for good now.
@asi34 Listen here...I remember my wilder days of riding bronc, working large lots, dancing with the prettiest girls (married or not), looking for fights, and waking up doing it all over again. Those days and nights, those heartmakes and heartbreaks, those wins and loses made me the man that I am today - I Stand Tall when no one around me stands up. I limit my mistakes when everybody around me is still tripping over their shoes. And my ranch and animals show that I Love them. It gets better.
This is such an amazing song. I rode with a kid in Iraq who listened to LeDoux all the time, he ended up getting killed one night, never listened to this before that, now it always reminds me of him.
Wow that's funny, ya argue about what a Cowboy is when ya listen ta stuff like this ? Come on now, this is just plaine good!!! And It always was an always will be..
What a good piece of country this is, damn nice song. Not a C&W fan but do like this one - nice view too, I'd like to see that from my bedroom window...lol
Chris you will always be in my life and my kids. I take my hat off for you.
