Hi! Thank you for sharing this video :) I have one question...I have Staedtler pencils.. is it alright to work with those? Will they give the same result? Thank you:)
Very informative and useful video. I've owned water color pencils for a while now without knowing exactly how to use them, and you've just let me know in a few minutes. Bravo!!
this tutorial is great ^^. but i want to ask something. sorry if it sound stupid but i just want to know if i do really have to use a 200 gsm or watercolour paper when dealing with these pencils? because i've tried it on a 90 gsm and the paint won't scatter.. i'm thinking if its just because it really won't do or if i'm just stupid and can't do it properly. thank you very much ^^
i got given water colour pencils and a sketch book as a present last week and had no idea what to do, im so glad for your video thank you very much. :-)
I'm interested in the w/c pencils technique. But, I'd like to see a completed drawing with the most super detail that can be created using this method.
those brush pens, you can get them on amazon for like 4 bucks :) i just got one. if you're talkin bout the ones with the water in them and the brush tip? Yeah
Water dipping will cause problems to pencils with wooden barrels as the moisture can migrate up the middle. I only use solid watercolour pencils for this technique
Very clear and concise. Some art teachers have an aversion to watercolour pencils, being not traditional. But I see them as an interesting addition to the technique armoury.
Thanks, great tutorial! I've been working with watercolor pencils for a while but I've never even heard of some of these methods. They're wonderful! Thank you!
umm.. what if i dont have any painting talent? -,-

these techniques are far easier to do using the 'solid' type sticks, I use the Creatcolour Aquamonolith

@gakushiji Any weight of watercolour paper should work as long as it's a decent brand..maybe you're not using enough water or pigment...
