I thought this was absolutely brilliant. It never really occurs to anyone that Sherlock reads people mostly by their possessions--- clothes, accessories, baggage, etc.--- and so, if someone is completely stripped... He literally has nothing to go on other than what he can infer from their personality, and that's all subjective. Sherlock is a genius, without a doubt, but I don't think the possibility of being affronted with a naked mystery ever occurred to him or anyone else until he met Irene.
I think this scene was so well made. The camera shots, the music fit perfectly with it, the look on Sherlocks face when he can't "deduce" who Irene is and Johns laugh. HEHE

Seriously...if you're gonna film a "nude scene" such as this (and according to her interview, she really was naked, no skintone "pasties" - so the crew and and the actors saw her in full glory) - then WHY the hell do you shoot it like she doesn't have breasts and a vagina? You might as well have had her in underwear. It reminds me of the ESPN Magazine's Body Issue, where you don't even see a nipple.
i don't see anything wrong with this - i don't see why so many people have complained. i think this is classy and stylish. being nude was once seen as a good and empowering thing - but instead today its seen as something as 'wrong', then again, its totally fine for 12 year old girls to go out in next to nothing? this world is messed up big time.
@karenovcrynant agreed and at least this made perfect sense, there was nothing to see anyway, a bare back and collar bone. Some people let their imaginations run away with them.
