  • My parents dont eat eggs, so i invented a new style "omelet" using pancake batter with veggies and spices and it looks exactly like this sorta. And its real good lol.

  • can I ask, what is okonomiyaki sauce? i CAN NOT FIND IT..

  • @xiaojingran

  • Uwaaaa! Oishisou!! House de tsukuru okonomiyaki wa sonnani ippai ingredients haittenai. (I can't make hiraganaa on my computer) Okonomiyaki tabetaku narimashita......

  • impressive cooking and i think you spoke japanese fluently.lol. im not japanese myself. but yessirr, i should try that cooking tomorrow=)

  • whats the japanese translation of "shit-ton?" haha. laughed my ass off.

  • you are so sexy when you speak in japanese !!! do you speak french????? no!!! quel dommage !

  • ah thanks for the tips! It looks awsome, thanks for putting this up!

  • How did you learn Japanese? Any tips for studying and such?? I study in college and I am pretty good at Kanji and composition but speaking is bleh :(

  • god you're cute ^^ thanks for making vids

  • haha you sounded good to me im trying to learn jappanese and it sure is hard i know spanish english italian but jappanese sure is the hardest for me lol maybe you can give me some tips =)

  • Ok pro japanese here.

  • My friend calls okonomiyaki Japanese pizza I tried it while in Nara a few weeks ago. Oishii desu yo. I really love the way you add the art work to the food. It seems that the appearance of the food is as important as the taste in Japan.

  • I could be wrong, but I think "flip over" is ひっくりかえす、 and not ひっくりがえす (like you were saying)

*props on the vid anyhow.

  • Thanks! And you are right about that! I thought it might have been one of those くらい・ぐらい situations where the か行 gets が行ed

like you do with 裏返す, but upon checking, it is pronounced with a ka.

    Always appreciate the heads-ups!

  • Great vid man! After seeing this, I'll have Okonomiyaki tomorrow night. Should I make a video too?

  • Couldn't hurt.

    Thanks for stopping by!

I use your coin puzzles on people all the time.

  • when you say "bobby jyudo" shouldn't you say "ボビー" not "バビー" (for continuity sake at least) ^_^

anyway great video, I like how you gave a little commentary on your own video at the end.

  • that's a good question...

I'm sure I'm not consistent with this in my daily life, but when I think about it think names should be pronounced like they were meant to be pronounced. Just like I think it's kind of silly when a Japanese person tries to foreignize their name to make it easier for you to say. "Hiroaki" is not "Hirowaki" nor is "Tomoyasu" "Thomas."

In real life I don't usually introduce myself as Jefu, but like I said, I'm sure you can catch me being inconsistent on this one.

  • So why don't I change the katakana spelling?

    Branding?

  • lol so たっぷり = shit ton :D

    Loved the mayo tips!

  • I love watching your cooking videos. Your okonomiyaki looks yummy. I should try adding yamaimo next time. Great idea. The little mayo hearts were cute. :)

  • everyones so good at cooking wtf D:

  • It's kind of what I do...

  • Videos just keep getting better!

  • Fantastic!

  • The hearts were great!

When I speak Japanese, I use 'to omoimasu' way to often. ;(

  • Great video Bobby! The little hearts are cute, just in time for Valentines Day too. Take care, Susie

  • Looks quite simple to do...is there really nothing else in the making than preping the ingredients and cooking them like that??? XD Now I have to get me some of that sauce!

  • Yup. Mixing it to much can actually make it come out kind of tough. The way I showed the ingredients all together in the bowls... that's how they bring them to the table at most okonomiyaki restaurants. Just stir em up and pour em on the griddle.

  • That was really interesting

  • I'm f***ing hungry right now :( jajaja It looks delicious! I imagine having it in my hands! And also say that you are so talented in cooking! Keep on doing more cooking videos!;) Seeyou

P.S: How rare it is the "yama-imo"!!

    Take Care!

  • over here, not rare at all. You can find them in any grocery store.

  • Thanks for the shout out, Bobbyjudo! Oishisou! Otsukare...

I'm so doing the hearts next time.

  • great cooking vid! do you usually have someone film you when you do it or do you try to film/cook yourself?

  • I usually do it myself, but this time, I wanted to show the yama-imo and the sauce part, so my girlfriend helped me out.

  • I like that you used the phrase "shit-ton". I'm coming over for dinner.

  • And when you made hearts on the okonomiyaki, I was sara ni impressed.

  • Agreed, though Jeff - in future videos, it should probably be a metric shit-ton. You're not in America, ya damn yankee.

  • Looks really good, but I think it will be really hard to find mountain yam here in the US. I've never seen anything like that; interesting how it turns gooey when grated. I watched the 'Cooking with Dog' video and she used octopus; I dont know how Id like that; but then everytime Ive eaten octopus it was a bit like chewing a rubber band, lol.

  • A lot of cooked octopus is pretty chewy, to our standards. But that's actually a popular texture in Japan.

  • I want to try making this some day :O All of these videos make me drool.

  • 3:50 How many girls did you achieve with that skill? lol

  • @runnyrunny999 i was just thinking that

  • nine

  • Okonomiyaki is so damn good

  • Ok first....I love cooking with the dog.. lol

Second... I am so hungry now... so thanks for that. LOL

    Great video!

  • hi can you make blkunk to make a cooking video

  • i love okonomiyaki and i like the style of your cooking videos.
