If you're feeling a stretch in your tricep from that, you've got really stiff triceps. The triceps contracts when the arm is straightened. As such you cannot achieve a decent stretch without also bending the arm. What you did stretch was the back of the deltoids. You're only hot when you teach what you know. So stick to the ninjitsu (kanjitsu?) and leave the anatomy and stretching lessons to the fitness experts.
When would you do the side throw as opposed to overhand/underhand?
Janet, could you show us some more stretches for our legs that we can do if we are by ourselves. I find my lower body needs the most flexability work. Thx for all the great vids Janet, keep em coming =)

That's a good angle to teach people that shuriken throw. It allows them to see how you move your whole body when throwing not just your arm. :)
